Just got through the Deferi missions and thought I would compliment you on a job well done. The scenarios were challenging and enjoyable. These are some of the things that really stood out for me as entertaining:
FEEDBACK: The voiceovers for the the Breen was great, and hopefully you will include more of this with other NPC's. Possibly you could go a step further and introduced something as follows?
SUGGESTION: Star Trek is famous for it's epic cut-scenes, viewed from the bridge of the ship. How about instead of having the BO dialogue that pops-up all of the time, there is periodically the dialogue along the lines of "Captain, we are dropping out of warp... all officers are required to report to the bridge." The view then takes you to the bridge. Your character then gets the general run of things through the BO's and then your character is heard saying, "On screen!" (At this moment I faint in excitement). The screen fickers to life and the story unfolds on the viewscreen.
FEEDBACK: The fact that the mission spanned so many storylines, as a player I really felt immersed in the events shaping the Deferi. Well Done.
SUGGESTION: The Klingon Empires record of humanitarian assistance is something I struggled to resolve. Perhaps that was not the best mission type?
FEEDBACK: I played the game throughout on Elite, and though I died a few times getting there, I appreciated that when starting over, the NPC's were still in somewhat of a wounded state allowing me to gain an advantage and not having to slug it out all over again.
FEEDBACK: The drops were improved! Yippee.
SUGGESTION: Perhaps weapon drops could be specie specific? If you fighting the Breen and they are firing Polaran weapons at you, how is it that they drop Plasma, or something alike? I know that the selection is completely random, but wouldn't it make sense to drop some form of Breen Technology?
FEEDBACK: The roleplay aspect of the dialogue was great. (Medical, Interrogation, Puzzles, etc)
SUGGESTION: Keep them coming, and thanks for the clues through the BOs. perhaps you could expand the options i.e. decisions trees. In other words, instead of the right and a wrong "answer", just allow the player to branch off in the discussion, where any decision will have a consequence and outcome. What is important in regards to decision trees - is that there are generally four levels + extra: 1) This the general options/ chooses/ questions to be asked to lead the player along the right course, 2) The epic-arch questions are the next level; these are the questions that will determine the path the player chooses, and once made they cannot go back and try something else, 3) the third level is the next series of general questions/ responses relating to the epic arc. The last level the 4) fourth level is the most important, as it is essentially be the one where the player decides what course of actions to take. If the player has made the right decisions based on the situation, then the extra (bonus) mission unfolds. These missions should always change in content and subject. Ie. the same question should not illicit the same response.
FEEDBACK: There were some graphical issues with the Deferi missions in terms of invisible barriers on the surface of the planet, and the texture of space sometimes was showing "plane" surface maps with the blue sky texture on them?
FEEDBACK: The rewards of the Deferi mission are global and as a result everyone will soon be runnng around with a Breen BO, weapons etc. The Cookie-cutter monster strikes again. This has a serious impact of the feeling of uniqueness, but the need to not "miss the bus" is too great to resist the urge to get and use these items.
SUGGESTION: Start the Starfleet Academy and the Imperial Klingon Star Academy! Award points to players to be used to study. Incorporate a research component like EVE.
FEEDBACK: The "resource gathering" component, although primitive ie. only scanning for stuff was great.
Aside from a slight niggling feeling that we Klingons were being a bit too nice, it was a great series and mcuh needed boost to the PvE element of our faction.
That was very much my thought - the Klingons of STO seem to be of a kill-'em-all-and-let-our-dead-gods-sort-'em-out mentality. That they maintained Deferi sovereignty instead of conquering Defera and taking out the Breen presence themselves seems kind of odd...

Why, it's almost like they're behaving honorably and having some depth to them. Clearly, this must be stopped.

If I thought for one moment this was the reasoning behind it I might agree. Sadly we know the reasons are entirely to rediuce the workload on the Devs. If this is the only way we can be included in the new content then I will stay my tongue. It would be nice if a few pieces here and there had a specific Klingon feel. Better still, if at at least one small point in the episode there was a weeny little Klingon only bit. Not a massive bit, even a sub-episode or a fairly bland daily. It would all start to build the faction a little bit more.

I was left with the same feeling, when I warped into the system only to see it crowded with Starfleet. Talk about your peak hour congestion! I had to honk my horn twice just to get them to clear a little space for me. [* Picture Ace Ventura, only picture him as a Klingon with his head stuck out the window of his command module! ]
