i have an idea on how to get us into cardy space, if everyone votes for the dominion there is a big chance they will take place in the cardy zone, what do people think, should we all vote to send us into zones that we cant get into now as a way to unlock that content to us.

Accessing an existing zone would still not unlock its "old" content for us, since it is written for Federation players. It'd be the same as during the End-of-Beta event when we were allowed to invade the Alpha Centauri, Regulus and Sirius sector blocks. We were able to access the fleet action and social spots, but even though this resulted in some pretty funny PvP (I remember my group successfully held Vulcan for about an hour!), that's about it. ;)

In theory we could access every sector block, anyways. If it's the Romulans, for example, we'd simply get a shortcut route on the north-east fringe of Omega Leonis, in a way similar to how we get to the Deferi sector right now.

So don't let your judgement for the poll get affected by that and just vote what you think is more interesting as an opponent.

Indeed, I found that irritating as well - except if this content is meant solely for the Feds anyways. Then again, considering that (for some strange reason) the KDF now accepts subjugated species as equal warriors, I suppose it was only a matter of time until their territories and remaining military got dragged into the conflict between the UFP and the Klingon Empire.

The poll is for who we would like to see in upcoming weeklies, so the content is for both factions. Sadly I'm more disturbed about the idea of Maquis, Ferengi or Mirror Universe content as these will be much, much harder to tailor to the Klingons than Romulan, Cardassian, Dominion, Hirogen, or Udine/Borg.

well its one of the targets on the pole is so laughable its not even funny. The Gorn Hegemony are in the freaking KDF. talk about ignoring our stuff so the fedbears have something to shoot.
But the Ferengi are also in the poll - aren't they supposed to be part of the Federation?

They have not joined the Federation, but have been allowed access to Starfleet Academy I believe, regardless they too are a horrible option. We saw in the "House of Quark" the only option with a Ferengi is not to fight them because they are cowards and there is no honor in killing cowards.

Hmmh, not necessarily. Federation Splinter does not have to be the Maquis, they're just the most popular example. It could be a variant of the Maquis, made of settlers who colonized along the Federation-Klingon NZ or even within the Triangle Sector. Or it could be something else entirely. And the Mirror Universe - well, they have Klingons, too. Klingons who probably have a lot of trouble with a resurgent Terran Empire by now.

The only thing I really don't see working are the Ferengi. Meh. Maybe if it's just a Ferengi mastermind behind some nefarious plan, but the forces you fight are mercenaries. But a pure Ferengi army would be kinda ridiculous.
