First off, kudos to whoever's baby this was! Well Done! Bravo!

I figured I'd wait on starting the Klingon missions until there were more of them (no sense getting drawn in and then abandoning the character after a little bit); but given the recent revelations I figured I might as well try a few and see what they were like.

Now, admittedly this is the first new mission I've tried, but all I can say is WOW! Not only did this have a nice Klingon flavor (a tear nearly came to my eye while my first officer openly wept that a filthy Romulan actually set foot on Qo'noS). But to be able to help out the House of Martok, epic!

Standing over my defeated opponent with the Klingons singing away in the background was just plain awesome. I raised my d'k Tahg in salute and basked in Worf's warm praise!

I even walked away with the first place Trophy. which looks very nice. Having the crew request it be proudly displayed was a really nice touch. There were headbutts and bloodwine all around I can tell you.

So, this is by the far the best mission I've played. All I can say is you haven't joined up with the KDF, you're missing out!

I also took Champion standing in the Forcas III tournament :D The graphics for the bat'leth actions are very well done!

Now I'm in "The House Always Wins" (All Around the Mulberry Bush) mission which seems to be a counterpart to Bringing Down the House. I've destroyed all 3 satellites, two of the freighters. But I can't find the first freighter!

The area I'm supposed to search (looks like a mining base on an asteroid) is highlighted but there's is no freighter here. I'm gonna file a bug ticket.

Too be honest, i have only been able to do one of the klingon ones. The others are bugged.

Bringing down the house doesn't complete and I have done it 8 times. Now, I just hate that episode.
Destiny doesn't work because i can't go through the doors in qu'nos.
I have had 2 bug reports and have been BEGGING for a solution for weeks and came up snake eyes.

Indeed it is the best episode in the entire game. If they can make more like that, i have no problem waiting for a few like that to show up at each season.

It is a very nice mission. I have found out from myself and from helping fleeties that if you have any other quests in your log on the klingon side, they have a higher chance of glitching, not progressing, etc. I noted this whilst the content was on tribble, but nothing much was done to correct the issue it seems.

I'm playing a new federation character through at the same time to sort of compare, at low levels the federation missions are primarily targeted at getting a new player familiar with game basics so the comparison isn't all that fair since the Klingon missions don't have to concentrate on the basics so much. At the lieutenant level the Federation missions have some cute ideas and they feel sort of like TNG trek. But there's not one stand out mission like the Lt-10 Bringing Down the House.

As one the posters here noted, they don't lead you around by the nose with the Klingon missions - I'm not sure I'd recommend the Klingon side to "kids". You have to really look around and use your noodle.

For example, when I first read the briefing I beamed down, ran out into the courtyard and could find neither transport nor anyone with a bubble over their head that would give me transport. I had so expected the usually lackluster fair to lead me by the nose that I was getting fairly frustrated by the time I finally found that it was a door, not "transport", that would get me to the low lands. It's the same with some of the exploration missions where scanning doesn't work - you have to use the map and think. I sort of like it (except for the bugs)! You get to see more of the worlds.

Well worth it. I hope those that worked on "Bringing Down the House" step out and take a bow - well deserved.

These are all great quests, all of the Klingons stuff added in season 2 was great, sadly it was over too fast :(

It was good.....I think it would have been great if they had enemies that scaled to your level...My klingon was already BG5 when this new content came out.

That was one of the reasons for "delaying" my Klingon experience. I wanted to enjoy the content as an up & coming Klingon and not already be at the end game.

I suspect UGC will be the answer for Klingon Content, but its hard to say if the content created will all be targeted for the end-game. If so, Klingons might remain an exclusive group as most folks won't want to grind their way up to where they could do it. Klingon designers might get discouraged by how few people play their missions and switch to building Fed content.

That would be a shame, because a lot of people would miss-out on the coolness of Being Klingon. So, I'm sorting hoping for a good Klingon mix when UGC comes out. I'm definitely not going to be happy if I'm limited to the number of missions I can build (that might discourage me enough from building any).

    Time will tell.

Mine was too, I was speaking more specifically about the story lines rather than that difficulty of the content. It would have been nice had it scaled, but it was still nice to play through it.

My LT. finally got to the level needed to get "bringing down the house" mission.

I spent 2 hours, yes I started at 11pm and went to bed exhausted at 1am LOOKING FOR the door
that gets to where I need to go to start the mission. After those 2 hours I still haven't found it.

Klingons at Q'nos were of no help, they just don't answer PM's sent in game.

Is there a kind soul that will offer a HINT at where I can find this door?, that is supposedly in the
    courtyard area.

At this point I feel like I'm running around in circles, covering areas I've been in many times looking
    for this damn door.

OK, figured it out. Warped out of sector, found what needed.

Actually, the location is already mentioned in this very thread (I had a problem finding it too).

Go to the Courtyard (no duh, says so in the instructions which if you're like me you read about 30 times) and yes, this is the area with open sky over head (easy to doubt after searching for a long time).

Just as you first come out into the courtyard, where you want to go is directly ahead. Just cross all the way over. It's a door on the far wall. No markings, might not even look much like a door. But, if you get close enough there will be a little popup asking if you want to go to the lowlands.

Don't blame the other Klingons for not responding, most likely they never found the door.

This mission was truly epic I can't say enough good about it awesome!

I think I spent fifteen minutes or so lookingfor the transport then I said to myself "well there's a gate over there who knows"

I wonder if you can revisit the lowlands as a social area maybe go Targh hunting!

The misison completing when you place the trophy in the mess hall was a neat touch.

My only slight qualm was that the BO who commnted about a romulan setting foot on Qo'nos was a Gorn! oh well.

    2) Grain Silo's? Really? Alot of klingon farmers are there?

I have enjoyed all of the more recent Klingon missions, enjoying the weekly episodes as well.
Much more enjoyable than most of the previous ones.
Loving how we finally get decent end rewards like the Feds have had since the beginning.
I pray to Kahless they keep them coming!

I think they sort of fixed the episode now. You beam down directly into the lowlands. You could say it was made "unnecessarily easier", but on the other hand it does make more sense this way.

I definitively hope so as well! The area was just beautiful. Even though it felt just a little too "green" for the Klingon homeworld, the layout of the map and the design of the buildings was awesome. Loved it, and would like if it'd be made accessible again as a social area.

Heh, maybe they fixed that, too - at least I haven't seen a single Non-Klingon resident in the area.

And I just have to chime in: The episode is pure brilliance. Kudos!

Fast work, I only did the mission 6 days ago and there wasn't a beam down option then. Nice to know they're still fixing this sort of stuff. Definitely agree with the Kudos, there were just a lot of impressive things about it (and a lot of clever reuse of the Forcas starbase).

I wish the authors would stop by and take a bow.

I am not sure, but I think the option was available from sector space around Q'uonos. Might not be in orbit of the planet.

No option to beam down there came up for me, but I just transwarped to Qo'noS and then flew straight to the planet and beamed down. That's life.

Played taking out the Mars base last night (second star to the left). Lot's more eye-candy and very pretty - but, for some reason it didn't have the same appeal as Bringing Down the House for me. Not sure why, but it felt like it was missing something (Mars?). The reward was way cool though! Don't get me wrong, it was still a fun mission over all and better than any of the Federation patrol missions and on par with the special Federation missions (e.g., Guardian).

    IIRC,

The first one was near me when I warped in.
The 2nd one was out in the open on the left side of the comm thingy you had to disable (about 10km away from it)
The third one was behind a bunch of rocks after disabling the comm thingy.

i'm completely stuck on the part of this mission where you have to talk to sirella again, i've run round the courtyard on quonos about 6 times now, everywhere i can think to go, even resorting to mashing f as i go. I've tried flying around the planet in sector and normal space and can't find a beam option. I've tried the gate and every funny lookiing object around the courtyard, what can i do?

my issue has been resolved now

Well bummer, I've run out of Klingon content (at least until Saturday). Guess it's time to hang up the disrupters and put him back into cold storage for a while.

So far, Bringing down the House has been the most fun, but then he's also not high enough (I think, could be I just haven't found them) to be eligible for the other Klingon missions (e.g., Gates of Gre'thor).

Being forced to go through this buggy p.o.s. to experience the shreds of Klingon plot that exist is bad enough, but then being forced to use the horrendous ground combat engine Cryptic inflicted on us just adds insult to injury.

When I was trying to complete this mission, I was trying to find a way to the lowlands through the courtyard. After opening the contacts menu, there was Lady Sirella and I was able to hand it in that way. Would be nice to just say Hail Lady Sirella and complete mission, instead of current mission text telling you to go back to the lowlands.

Please either fix it so we can go back to the lowlands, or alter the mission text to say Hail Lady Sirella to complete.

I thought the ground combat bits were fun - though the Fek'ihri seem a bit OP in it. I had to scale my difficulty level down to "normal" and still got wiped several times. It got noticeably better after I slotted that cryo beam from the Deferi quests, though. Slowdown's a bit*h for melee combatants. :D

Still, it was a nice opportunity to indulge in some truly glorious Bat'leth combat. And despite the wipes I would never want to miss out on the ground bits. The landscape and the story were just too awesome. I usually don't like being put in the role of "that one hero", but the Barge of the Dead and the Gates of Gre'thor were just epic moments. I half-expected to see some ancestor of my character on the Barge - Cryptic really missed out on this; allowing some ancestor to redeem himself in battle against the Fek'ihri would have added a lot to the mission. On the other hand this would only make sense for Klingon characters, so whilst this might be easy to include I don't think if the game is actually capable of making a difference there.

And yes! Turn the Lowlands into a Social Area or something. That area is just too beautiful to be left unused after the mission. :)
