Hi,

well the storyline in the federation faction is ... thin ... but in klingon faction there is none. Dear cryptic, could you please do at least a thin story line for klingons too?

and in general: mor story for keeping me (us) playing please!

Welcome to the Klingon way. ;)

That is so true, but at least you all now have an option. For me, it was either waiting forever to PVP in which case, since the Feds whined too much, our PVP xp was nerfed. Or, if we chose not to wait forever in a PVP queue, we could do the broken and mind-numbing exploration missions...Don't get me wrong, they were good explores...when they worked....but man I think I have seen every map and variant for the Klingon side...lol.

We don't need more variety, we just need PVP xp fixed back to where it was prior to the whining fed change.

The funny thing is that almost every ground map exists twice.

Once with a kill 6 groups of ......scenario and one more time with a destroy 6 ....(tribbles/weapons...)

Then it also can happen that while you have to kill 6 groups you can also destoy the weapons depots cause they are also on the map lmao. And that for 6 month now and nobody bothered fixing that.

Hmmm...interesting that you mention that. I like the ones where you beam down to investigate a base that is not operational, and then there are some random ****'s to kill...lol...always fun....

The really sad thing is Cryptic has already set the beginings of several good storyline tracks for the Klingons with the Undine infitrations and the return of the Fe'kiri, but does seem to want to expand on them.

Well, they will only work on what will bring in the Federation characters. I say that if they don't want to do anything for the Klingon players, or wish to keep placing us on the back burner, they ought to stop the charade and just drop the side altogether....I mean really....This is more than ridiculous....It is outrageous that they have left this side so unfinished...Hire some interns to work on this side..that way if they TRIBBLE it up, the Cryptic team won't directly be involved...besides, you can treat interns or college students like crud and get away with it...lol

Which is even more sad. I heard from an old friend I lost touch with the other day who also enjoys MMo's and such. He stated very clearly that the lack of Klingon substance is the reason he gave up on STO.
DO the Dev's not recognize the profit potential of well thought out factions in STO?

They do, but it plays second fiddle to what their demographics tell them for the people that could potentially play the federation side....Yeah...I started a thread to have them add grad students or such to work for little or no money to add content to the Klingon side to assist in placating us...Yes, if they refuse that, then they are hosed...I see nothing that they will do to redeem themselves in my eyes, lest they get off ther lazy bums and work diligently at our missing ships and goodies....

There is a very LONG list of things you will miss being a Klingon. Go bck to the Feds and wait for Cryptic to deliver on promises.

WHile city of heroes wasn't perfect, I think they did a smart thing by releasing the Villain pack after the basic game. In comparison, they rushed too quickly here, wanting to draw in the additional numbers that they knew wanted to play Klingons, but then didn't do a great job of making it all that fun/engaging from the beginning.

Unlike the fed side, which I'm playing through yet again, is pretty nice, interesting and paced well. If anything, there's almost too much story in the fed side (at least in the early pre-captain) levels, that you often end up outlevelling the content. Likewise, if you dip into pvp or too many cluster missions you find yourself a few levels above the story-mission intended level.

On the flip side, Klingons sorta stall out and have to scavenge to get ahead and there isn't a good flow between story-type missions and general kill-everything missions.

i enjoy the "beam down and kill tribbles" missions myself. if they had tribbles flying ships, i could do those missions all day.

Would the ship be round and fuzzy? Would if pop apart and have fuzz flying everywhere when it blew up?...sounds like a fed carebear enemy to me...lol
