Leveling suggestions

Sometime back i asked bout leveling on the klink side, got some answers and tried some things but its still taking forever to get to commander rank(LtCmdr 3 right now) :( Does pvp give more xp or something? The rinse/repeat of missions is gettin real old :(

Anyone else got any ideas as to how to level faster?

    well, the PVP if you can find something that works gives the best results..

    However, that being said the queue when I was leveling was really slow, and unreliable.
    At the present it is well...you know...anyway, I would say that if you want reliable XP to go farming in explores.

    It also works a great deal better if you have a higher level player team with you..you might match their level and gain some SICK amounts of XP to help you level faster..
    I remember that LTC3-LTC7 were the slowest levels for me...Once you pass that, it goes a bit faster (that is if you do explores)....

    I went from LT.C 3 or 4 through most all of LT.C 6 yesterday evening. Just run your explore missions, be sure to have the quest to complete 3 explores, and be sure to take all the side achievement quest like kill 25 enemy ships, etc. take every quest you can get from your remote contacts. Also be sure to queue up for FvK space arena matches. They tend to complete faster than cap and hold.

    If you do this, the levels should go pretty quick, It isn't like the explore missions are hard

    The problem is that people want the 500+ exp point missions and such in quick succession like they have on the federation side...so they don't have to do explorations, or even the defend (like DSE's in fed space). It seems to me that few have the patience for leveling a klingon..but then again, I cannot blame them...I almost went nutty trying to level mine.

    and sadly that's all you can do. I suck at PVP and that's been my strategy. Explore missions, then Empire defense missions. Wash, wax, and repeat. Though i do enjoy playing on the KDF now because of it. Not so much as I did before but I do now.

    defend a nebula gets a bit long after a while...You can do many more explores in the same time you can do a defend and get credit for it...Don't forget the higher level you are, the more groups you have to kill...

    Oh yes, and you cannot skip around in instances..And if you go to another anomaly...you have to STILL wait the 4 or 5 minutes for cooldown...It's just flat out disgusting what they do to us....It is no wonder people don't level a klingon and leave to go fed again.

    I wonder what you guys have been doing? I started playing STO about a month ago, and today I'm just 2.5 levels away from Lt.G.
    This being said as a real casual gamer, it's not THAT hard to level up a klink toon...
    Max. Lvl with about to no effort in about a month - i call that pretty quick getting to the endgame.
    But as an adivce - yes to exploration missions in ocmbination with PvP and nebulae-defenses,, that gets you up pretty quick.
    And honestly - there's nothing easier than PvPing against leveling Feds :D

    I was about to ask if I was missing something in leveling a klink aside from the over-repetetive nebula and explo with some pvp tossed in (opens like 2 times a evening for me and I suck at it too)

    not really what I would call fun :/

    but who am I to think of having fun in a game I pay for...

    All the fun is in PvP my friend. If you can get a group - stick with it (even when PUGing). Opens alot more matches (in fact sometimes you haven't even got a minute inbetween). This worked for me all the way through.
    And if there's no match coming up in the first place, you can always do the exploration stuff (not that interesting - i have to agree..).

    PVP vs. PVE leveling...it all comes down to what you can swallow better....
