My Stubborn Streak...

Okay...Klingons are the red-headed stepchildren of STO...or at least it feels that way.

You know what? IIt makes me want to play them more - just to be contrary.

My Neghvar in PvP owns. Most Klingon Teams - even pugs -- that I am in win hands down. Some Feds seem to be learning...but in general, I would have to say that -- based on my own observations -- Klingons tend to win more often as long as the team does not lose focus.

But I digress. I have two Fed RA5s, and one Klingon RA5. I am finding myself playing my Klingon far more than my Feds...and to be frank, if I could somehow "switch" the faction on one or both of my Feds, I think I would actually do it. Just to be contrary.

Ah well. This post is not completely pointless...i do have a question...

I see all of these cosmetic ships, and even a new ship for the Feds, and nothing much for Klingons. Not much new there and no tears or whines from me -- we rock without the flash anyway...but I AM curious as to what ships we might be getting at level 51 later this month. Anybody have any inside scoop on that?

    Just specced my science toon from A carrier to Neghvar an love it. A Tier 5 lvl 51 Carrier will be included in new patch, although details are sketchy:)

    Yep. I did a bit more reading, and saw that we are getting a new Carrier at level 51.

    No offense...but a new Carrier? That seems sort of...I don't know...odd, considering that the Feds are getting updated versions of Cruiser, Sci Ship, and Escort at level 51...

    I guess that the question will be whether or not my Neghvar will be able to stand up to a Fed level 51 vessel. Will these new Fed ships be able to mount level XI or higher weaponry, consoles, shields, etc? I imagine that they will have more advanced officer positions (likely), which means more access to skill sets. Odds are that at a minimum they will have heavier shields and hull, also, I guess.

    I hope that we do indeed get a new carrier...but I am also hoping for an updated Raptor, BoP, and Battlecruiser as well -- at least to match the Feds...otherwise, PvP will be an exercise in learning how to die well, I think -- and not a celebration of victory as it is now....
