How to be Klingon?

I played the demo and recently upgraded to the full game. But, I'd rather play on the Klingon side, but the game will only let me make Fed characters. I tried deleting my Fed characters, but that didn't solve it. So, how do I make a Klingon character?

    Can´t remember 100 % but I think you have to play your fed char till Lieutenant 6.
    Then you can create your klingon.

    You have to reach Federation Lietenant 6 first, bevore the game unlocks the ability to create a Klingon.

    That sucks cryptic great at this building games thing you deleted your character man you have to do that boring tutorial again and be a fed for awhile don’t worried because being a klingon is way worth have that fed stick on you for awhile just to Lt6

    Indeed. There is not so much to do if you are Klingon. The main playing experience is on the Federation side.
