How could you turn poor innocent tribbles into slippers!?
...as to the bunnies... bunnies are never innocent.
cause i have tons of them that have eaten of the rich rich food and produced their superior offspring. now that they have reproduced they are expendable, and their offspring shall live on. and once youve laquered them they make nice buttons too.

Klingons can breed tribbles.... They just squeal when you punch them, then have a long cooldown. Of course, toucan sam would never do such a vile act...

what type of hat?
and that's production order, not cronological order, "enterprise" the series portrays the nx 0001 which was in the 22nd century, 1000 years PRIOR to the tos, and abrams movie takes place prior to tos, but has aspects of things after voyager incorperated into it
and ds9 and voyager took place at the same time, just different parts of the galaxy

its made of bacon and win and looks yum.
the generation movie came after "all good things" and the end of TNG series, and first contact came after that cause they have the sovreign class enterprise in it. same with nemesis.

why is it so popular then? >_> it's just a box, though slightly different shaped box, then the rest of the tier 1 engineer boxes

It's got all the classic federation style is why it's popular. Besides, momo liking it should be explanation enough for it's popluarity. The Enterprise-B was almost an excelsior class, just the impulse engines were different.... and I think that look actually is in the engineering 1 tier, isn't it? At least the saucer is.....
This is a shat hat. There is no bacon, but there is a turkey in the picture.

it was the first ship that could use transwarp technology, it could go from impulse to warp 4 instantly. Plus fans of the old tactical board game used it lots. it was the best ship in the game. most power, most weapons, most powerfull weapons. all around awesome ship in that game.
plus it was the enterprise 1701-B. right after Kirk retired the name went to an excelsior class ship.
plus i think it looks cool. lots of other folks think so too.
1st classic, is most like the secondary hull of the Vesper, with a big sticky up bit in the middle, that's boxier than it's predecessors. Contrary to popular belief, this is not the shuttle-bay or engineering. The saucer has the impulse drive hard on the back of it. This version was I believe only seen briefly in TOS. A few times, but I could be mistaken, it might have just been a behind the scenes concept that never made the screen.
2nd classic, is the Excelsior you see in the movie (USS Excelsior), it has a more rounded cargo pod (The sticky up bit at the back) And two warp cores (You see on the top, where it has two spherical domes, those are the tops of each core, in emergencies they are blown to eject the cores) and they run all the way down from the saucer top, to the secondary hull. The Impulse engines remain in the same place as the previous version of the class. This class has a raised area at the aft of the Secondary hull, this is not the shuttlebay, I can't actually remember what it is though...
3rd - This it the Enterprise-B, Excelsior refit. It has a larger secondary hull, which is wider around the deflector dish, quite noticeably. It does retain the curved cargo pod of it's predecessor however and the curved area at the back of the ship. The warp nacelles however change, instead of the warp coils venting at the top, they are shifted to either side of the nacelle in keeping with "modern" warp nacelle designs, Buzzard collectors are also featured on the front of the nacelle in this refit. Another change is that the Impulse engines, which were protruding from the back of the Saucer Section, move to either side of their original location, however the protrusion remains, just no impulse drive there.
The final, 4th refit, is again only ever a concept I believe, and never made the screen, I think it was meant to be the model used for the Lakota, but didn't make it for whatever reason. This refit has a completely different nacelle design, essentially kit-bashed from the Sovereign, The hull too, is no longer the pristine white and light blues that we all love. But the hard greys seen on the sovereign class. From what I remember of the images, the hull designs didn't change.
For anyone wondering WHERE the shuttlebay is on the Excelsior, it's under the aft secondary hull, in that recessed bit that glows. In the original ship and 2nd refit, there was also a hangar located just beneath the saucer section, which was replaced by lower-down torpedo launchers in later refits.
Thankyou for Momo's lecture, called Excelsior through the ages. I hope you found it both interesting and informative.
I'd also like to say that I didn't copy and paste a word of this, I just love the excelsior sooo much, that I kinda know quite a bit about it... Also... I do know far too much for a normal fan about Warp-core theory...

At least she was replaced by William Shatner though. He can stay so long as he doesn't try to sell us Shat Hats.
