Undine Terradome Walkthrough

Greetings all, my friends and i have recently completed this undine terradome,

Here is a link to show i have completed this:
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4052/4608754496_66f180eacf_b.jpg

1) Space combat: easy just have to look for enemies to destroy

2) Ground combat (Deja Vu): Speak to Myles and you will have special scanning device. Equip it in your inventory belt and use it to scan the people who are real humans. The real humans will flip a coin, the undine who are disguised as humans do not flip coins. When u scan the humans, click on selected person to scan. It will not cause the others to become undine. But if u click to select on the wrong person to scan, the undine will appear. Try not to make too many mistakes, otherwise there will be alot of undine later. Press M to see the map, you will see 10 circled areas where the engineers are..

3)Protect engineers part: Here split into 3/2, 3 go left, 2 go right. There are 5 consoles where 5 engineers will go to. The rear console do not have undine... The undine will always spawn from the same area, so build turrets near them to keep them busy.

4)Go up to command centre using the lift which is seen in the map M. Destroy everything and turn on the consoles.

5)Quark's Bar: Destroy everything, remember to go up to the 2nd and 3rd floor. Then enter using the ground door near the bar.

6)When u enter the basement, destroy the incubators as that is where the undine come from. Also, destroy the power nodes. U can also shoot the hanging undine stuff at the ceilings as they do damage to nearby enemies. Be careful of the toxic gas, it will make u target friendlies...

7) Where's Sulu part: Destroy all the power nodes at the 4 corners of the room, then shoot all the incubators at the top of the middle room. It is okay to respawn many times, the progress will not reset.
The strategy that works is: IGNORE THE CONSOLES AND DO NOT JUMP INTO PIT
Here are the steps:
a)There are 8 fake sulus, and 1 real sulu. The real sulu will say "ARRGGHH" when u shoot him. So when u find the real sulu, hit him with your rifles and push him out of the middle bridge area. Use forcefield push to push him to the corner of the room. Then everyone stay at the corner , protect Sulu. Allow the rest of the sulus and the boss to kill themselves. When the last fake sulu is dead, an army of undine will run towards you. Everyone crouch at the corner and use split beam weapons to shoot them. Someone must constantly talk to Sulu by pressing the talk to sulu button when it appears. Otherwise, if u do not talk to Sulu, he will not follow you and run out like Rambo with guns blazing...
b)Do not aggro boss until most of the undine are dead. Then shoot boss by crouching and using large powercells for extra DPS damage. When boss life is about 50percent, use powercells to DPS him to zero life. You only have 20seconds to kill boss when his life is 50percent, otherwise, the deathwave will hit you.

Happy Hunting!

Also, one more thing. when the undine army charges towards you as you 5 all are couched at the corner, an engineer use forcefield push to push the undine away...

My sentiments exactly. There should be no reason to push Sulu artificially into a corner and trap him so that he can't go kamikaze.

These STFs are all broken IMO. They should have just turned them all into End Game Fleet Actions. That way, more than 5 people can overpower the brokenness.

I've tried running this STF every night since release with different PUGs and that end room is a PAIN. This is the only STF I haven't had the chance to beat yet within a second try (all with PUGs). It's not like we're idiots either, since each group I've been in has relayed all information to one another from previous attempts. Many things listed in that guide we've learned through trial and error.

The sad thing is it seems that in order to accomplish this STF's main room, there has to be some sort of serendipitous chain of events that makes it where Sulu is found right away, he's not in the pit, the boss doesn't aggro him, the pit is cleared of the gas and Sulu is pushed into it, Sulu is kept safe from the zerg rush and so on.

I suppose the relative easiness of the earlier portions of Terradome were just a foreshadowing of the main room.

    1. Get all the fake sulus in the pit.
    2. Push real sulu to a far corner
    3. Take boss down to ~55% health
    4. Kill 6 Sulus
    5. Remove fire
    6. Knock real sulu in pit
    7. Kill rest of fake sulus
    8. Use split beams to handle undine mobs
    9. Finish boss

We killed the boss before killing the fake Sulus. It seems this prevents the swarming Undine somehow (they spawned but immediately died).
Frankly I think the bossroom was the easiest part ..

After many attempts at the Klingon version of Undine Terradome, my team (Fister Sisters) completed the final boss in about ten minutes. See video here:

can we get an stf where its possible to win through good tactics?
    and not good tactics+constant respwning

it reminds me of infected where you had to rush the nodes as a group to get them killed if they were far into a room, then respawn cause obviously you all die, then come kill the borg.

In part two how did you avoid the big AOE blast that wipes everyone? was it purely through DPS'ing boss to death fast enough?

I've just finished it tonight and our group consisted of 1 healer, 3 engineers , and 1 tac officer. we put sulu in his corner while avoiding the boss and then staggered our forcefield domes in the corners once all the fake sulus were dead. It took a while to kill all the undine but this allowed us to fight the boss with sulu helping us at the end. once the boss reaces about 50% health just use the power cells to help finish him off. All of your group needs to be attacking the boss to dps him down and sulu helping is a bonus. Not sure why they give you a borg weapon drop but hey thats life.

I think if you are also having trouble at the protect the engineers part.. make sure you don't scan a non coin flipper as this may produce larger mobs to defend against. I feel that overall, the number of mobs leasding up to sulu could stand to be reduced somewhat. Also the final room can get a bit glitch especially with the camera on a respawn or people trapped in the door. It was also a little sad someone made a joke about there not being any nodes to shoot like in the borg stf's just after we did the enginering console part before they had seen the undine incubators and power nodes :)

Honestly this mission is the largest peice of BS ever broken to hell 8 times i have come close to beating this and every time my team gets bugged where 3 people will be sent to sector space and 2 will remain in the final chamber caven at which point we cannot reform without doing the entire lot again bugged to hell i say.

Exactly. In fact, the encounter forced us to do it that way, we did several attempts disabling the gas/fire thingy and tried hiding in the pit and the result was even when the npc didn't die, it would still teleported us back to the door everytime (like if he died).

Which is the rear console in the orginal post. Ours was bugged. When we all died the ds9 crew tripple spawned on each other and when you finally do find the moron flipping the coin it doesnt matter you get credit for the find and 3 times as many undine immediatly spawn and zerg on you. After 20 minutes of just dealing with its POS we decided to intentionally spawn and kill them to get our accolade.

All of the STF's are poorly designed. Cryptic has this idiotic mentality that zergfest are fun for everyone and that frustrating npc behavior doesnt need to be fixed we will just overlook it. same as the one or two shot group wipes by bosses.

Rant finished can someone tell us the best way to tackle the console portion and the boss please. Also is there a paticular weapon type or class thaqt you recommend?

    ps
And I really dont care if you ran so and so STF in 60 seconds by yourself using barehands while eating cheetos in your moms basement making out with a magazine that you enthusiasticly inform everyone is your real life girlfriend. We dont care so troll somewhere else. :p

What about the console portion? We tackled it by splitting into teams as well as keeping together. We were wiped each time. Granted it was our first time for each of us. Are we correct in thinking that you have to protect the engineer and not the console? And is it like a marathon where we have to get to each console as quick as possible and still watch for spawns behind the areas we cleared?

There's only one way to beat the last part of the mission and I know because I've done it myself and worked at it every night for at least 2 weeks straight and tried every single tutorial (including this one). First of all, you need at LEAST two tactical officers. Everyone should have a bunch of power cells, and hypos. take out all the undine incubators and power nodes. As soon as the boss comes into the picture flank him, don't worry about any sulu's or any of that, just dps the hell out of the boss. Make sure your buffed up and try to hit him from a different angle from where everyone else is shooting.

Might take a couple of tries, but I'm telling you, it works.

The time when I got past that bit, the tactic we used was:
There are five consoles and five of us. We split up and each stood at a console. Then, the person at the first console (closest to the docking area) runs to get Myles and the rest of the engineers.

The undine spawn, but you should get two NPCs helping you at each console if you scanned all 10 people correctly earlier. If you can keep them alive for long enough, they kill most of the undine around the consoles, making your job easier cleaning up the leftovers while the engineers finish at the consoles.

Thank you we will try the tactic tonight.

What happens if Sulu dies at the end mission? Do you have to back out and drop the whole thing and start from the beginning or is there some way to salvage the mission from where you were at so you don't have to do the WHOLE thing over again?

Question, what does the Node actually do in this STF? I didn't see any real benefit they offer to the Undine.

Also... on the coin flipper part, I noticed that if you can't find the coin flipper, it's usually the NPC that's walking around a lot.

I hate this mission as well as the other versions (Infected & The cure). they are just spam fests with no real tactics needed.
If you can avoid them then do so as the rewards are not worth the hassle!

In fact, these mission show exactly why the ground portion of this game is so broken!

There should still be a respawn outside the boss chamber, if I recall.

No. You fail the mission. You can repeat the whole ground part that starts after you clear the bar. This alone makes the mission incredibly frustrating.
