Just wondering how much support this idea would have, it was mentioned in a thread in general discussion a bit ago, with the response it would be getting looked into.
There are not that many Klingons in Borg space, Federation and Klingon players already share DSEs thankfully, so how about taking this a little bit farther with cross-faction teaming for STF? I certainly have friends that only play one side I would enjoy having something to do with other than the DSEs.. Be that STF or exploration missions.

But Cryptic... for what reason ever, doesnt want that and wont do it. Porbably because it would mean to invest some effort concerning the Klingon faction.
Since we can be inside the same instances and the same DSEs it will be really hard to make that possible, almost as hard as making clothes available for players wich are already in the game for NPCs. Well may be a little harder, guess that would take 5 instead of three minutes work.
Actually, I dont know where exactly, but I did read an official comment that no such thing is planned, so they are neighther working on that nor planing that,.....or a DEV postet TRIBBLE.
Well, a lot of rpers hate the Idea of aother Federation/Klingon war at all. I said it a couple of times: KLingons were ALWAYS MUCH more intresting as an unsable ally than as an enemy.
a large majority of feds are rp'ers though. When i was advertising for my new fed pvp guild and said "no rp tolerated", I got hate tells and zone chat calling me everything but intelligent.
What would make you think you are going to be forced to if they introduce it?
It would make getting certain teams together a whole lot easier.
We really need this. Just look in the social tab if you're trying to put together an infected or cure run. You will see 20 Feds looking for a group. You will see 1 klingon once every 5 days. Thats seriously how bad it is.

That's why we'll probably never see it. If the Feds had issues grouping, they'd be given a solution the next day.
aah but lore wise, the klingons will band with former enemies to take down a greater threat. the whole thing about season one was with the borg becoming more aggressive, the klingons cease fired to face the greater threat.
as for it being difficult.... there is already a mechanic for it... they are using it for deep space encounters. i heal klinks all the time in there.
I prefer just playing the Klingon faction but have friends IRL who just play Fed. If this was in place we could get together more often without me having to waste my limited playing time on a fed toon I don't really want to invest in.
Civil War? No problem.
Brakeaway groups nuking some backwater Federation planet? Sure.
But the total erosion of the alliance was a bad idea IMO.
So yes to cross-faction teaming.
Next step would be that the Romulans finally declare war on the Feds over this whole
"blame the Feds for Hobus" thing and we can finally have some real fun together.
Still I'm in favor of allowing grouping in instances where it makes sense, such as Borg space.

No, we are the red-headed step children of Cryptic, not exactly Romulans, but not true Klingons either. We probably won't see this happen...They haven't looked at STF's and won't which is fine for me if that gives them time they need to add our ships and other toys....
