Most Consistent Fun as a Klingon Thus Far

After reaching RA5 as a Federation commander I decided to play thru as a Klingon to experience "the other side". I was completely unprepared for just how haphazard progression is. I thought, that I'd at least get into plenty of PvP matches against the Federation ... but am surprised to discover that a low levels, there just aren't many Federation players looking to PvP and for good reason; they are playing PvE content available to them. That's what I did ... I did the missions until they ran out and then went for PvP.

Well ... I've found something to do while I wait for the PvP queues to fill up--go to Ker'rat and enter the low level Borg mission and pick off Federation stragglers. Oh, the joy!

"Nice going, Vulture!" I had a Fed commander scream at me after I finished off his 25% hull from the beating he took from a couple of Borg probes.

I've even ended up in groups where we raid the dogs and its been hilarious.

Anyone else enjoy this?

Kerrat is great. I go there when I'm waiting for queues. I usually find a fed uncloak and wait for them to shoot me. Then camp em until they leave. I also go after feds who shoot at me during the reset. Zone insults are a plus and private message insults are what I strive for.

I completely loathe that space war zone and it has nothing to do with the pvp. That's usually a little fun.

I hate that probes still get stuck. I hate that cubes can sometimes be untargetable for you, but can basically beat the snot out of you. I hate that the repair hulks are scattered the way they are so much so that soloing it takes way too long. I hate that it makes you do three of them just to get any credit. (If they had a variety of space war zones and they were not all the exact same mission, then 3 might be ok). I just can't stand that mission.

And the few times a klingon jumps in to dogfight a bit are about the only times I stop hating the mission itself and have some fun. At least there when I die, I know it's because we were fighting. Not because some cube snuk up on me or some probe sniped me from it's "stuck" spot and I couldn't even fight back.

Now the GROUND war zone ... that's another story entirely. I love that zone. The mission is amazing and fun and relatively bug free.

I had fun in the Ker-rat system today.
Some long 1v1 battles against Starfleet.
    Each took about 15-20 minutes.
    Victory was mine! :)

Done it...the fun is short lived. Its a desperate cry for purposeful and dynamic PvP...you'd savor a bone too if you were starved enough.

OMG that is so funny and yet so true.

I don't mean to say that it is all I'm doing. Its just where I hang out while I'm waiting on the PvP matches to queue. Tonight I got a new friend to play wingman and we totally had a blast with it. The best part was how it progressed from isolated skirmishes to the point where the Fed players couldn't ignore us any longer and started concentrating on us instead of the Borg. They went through several well thought out strategies to deal with us, but each time we were patient, waited until someone wandered off from the group and then POUNCE!

It was like watching something from the Discovery Channel or ... a Star Trek movie. It was really the most Star Trek like experience I've had in the game so far.

Oh, and lots of name calling and arguing back and forth about cloaking/cowardice and such. It was a totally entertaining evening. We even forgot to re-queue for PvP.

I haven't laughed so much in a long time.

My favorite thing to do so far is to attack a Borg sphere and have it follow me to a Fed player where I then use jam sensors on it so it attacks the Fed player while I attack them. I know it's not entirely practical but it is funny.

Kerrat is great fun at every level.

Ground war zone? Is there a Fed vs Klingon war zone? What planet, and do Feds actually go there?

When you get to BG5, you will probably quit being a klingon. There is nothing to do. All you have is dailies. Infected and the Cure are super easy and boring. It's not even interesting on the first go around. Have fun doing nothing.

Do the BG5 exploration missions in a T3 or T2 ship. Actually almost a challenge...

The ground war zone is always empty when I try it... you can solo the first part but it takes forever.

Im sure you are right ... since I quit being a Fed at RA5. If I'm lucky, there would be the Romulan faction for me to reach the RA5 equivalent and then be bored as well.

The Ground War Zone is near Gonalda ... it is pretty barren most of the time, but at least the Borg behave more like the Borg you know and love.
