moving to Raptor board >

Hoi KDF,
RA5 as Fed now, nearly... time to plan a KDF.
With S1 is coming out, what would be the best to play?
With Fed, I'm a supporter / doctor, even if nobody seems to have use of one, anyway...
As KDF, I want to make something with a more active play style, good old "stealther" type of char.
- Rush in, clocked - sneak up
- Unleash a devastating attack against 1 single target - assassinate
- Tactical retreat for cooling down weapons, have a snack and start again - avoid the a*** whooping
So, fellow KDF's
What skills as PC to chose and why?
What BO's are to chose for PvP / PvE?
What ship to fly?
What gear to put in?
Any suggestions / assistance is more then welcome. Planed start of the char is the weekend of the 27th, hopefully with patch S1 already in place.
If someone wants to team up, my normal play time starts 9ish GMT.
Update 23/March:
I was reading up on the forums and please correct me, where I'm wrong.
The bcloak will get nerf'ed with a timer?
A "good" combination (to suite my play style -> was playing DAoC - till TOA ruined for me - as Infi and Ranger - no issue to be called Die-a-Lot
)
Make a TAC and get a Raptor -> sneak in, hit and tactical retreat (Klingon's never run away from a fight)
Weapon layout
FWD -> Cannons, DualBeam, QTorps (narrow attack angle)
AFT -> Beam, PTorps (wide attack angle + 20% disable sub-system)
BOfs
TacTeam, BeamOverload, HYT
SciTeam, FBP, VM
EmgPwrShields
What will be "must have" PC skills to improve TAC/Raptor, besides maxed weapons and BOfs skills?

I have a BG Klingon that I PVP'd.
There is no PVE for klingons until patch.
So there is no way of knowing what kind of BO or skillzz until then.
Ask again next week (it will be easier than PVPing until your eyes bleed, I assume )
if you want a "stealther" the ship is pretty easy to decide. you'll be wanting to go with the Bird of Prey line as they have battle cloack after T1
The most effective weapons seem to be dual cannons ( not heavy ) and quantum torpedos.
with cannons you'll want to sneak up to 2km where u rip trough most of things pretty easy.
from BO skills Rapid Fire I and Torpedo high yield I are pretty important dps skills with attack patterns.
Rest could be somethign to annoy your opponents or ease your escape from a tight spot.
personally i llike jam sensors, tractor beam and science team alot as i dont engage group of enemies by myself ever.
feel free to correct me, these are just my 2 energy credits
Alright, so BoP with bcloak in combination with either ENG or SCI > sneak in, fire, sneak out.
Alternative is then Raptor as TAC > sneak in, fire fire, run.
I am a BG5 on the KDF and I myself prefer to be in Negh'var controlling my team ( fleet members ) in battle as they fly the raptors and BoP' s as I support with heavy weapons fire....and be a safe heaven for BoP's and raptor's when you have to run like hell to avoid being attacked. (lol)
You want advice ...stick to the Federation side. Nothing but grind on the Klingon side.
The grind is just to much, at least last time i made a good bit of headway before the xp nerf, Now its twice as bad.
Ship: BoP for sneak and hit
Class: Go for Sci for subnuke or tac for pure power in space, ground tac officer has a stealth kit
PvP/PvE Boffs: Up to your play style, Sci officers can disable, Eng can buff defence and repair, Tac for damage boosts. Personally in my BoP at BG5 I use a sci officer in commander slot simply for VM and FBP.
Gear: In a Bird of prey cannons are king, Choose which type you like early and plan your points accordingly. Personally I use the same BOs in PvP and PvE ontribble and it works fine.
- Tactical retreat for cooling down weapons, have a snack and start again - avoid the a*** whooping
^^ more like kill all recloak and setup for the next attack...battlecloak will rarely save you.
next tip dont take ground skills...in KDF and good kit/weapon is all ya need
next...play a class you know...but a sci class in the later trie's will outdamage a tac.
the best lvling tip is pvp when you can..t1,t2 pvp que's are abit slow you may have to grind them out
-Be ready to die a lot (you'll kill a lot too!)
-Be ready for no PvE untill the patch
-Be ready for your first two ships to esentialy be escorts
-Any class is good
-Making friends seems to be easier in PvP so be ready to chat
