Why do Klingons get Commodities as loot?

Medical Supplies, Communication Arrays, Antigens, Weather Control Systems and other things for Federation Outreach and Aid Programs - my KDF captains get these things in the Kahless Expanse and the Azure Nebula. Is there some use for them in the Klingon Empire, beyond selling them on the Exchange?

    Because giving Klingon the same level of loot drops as you get on the Federation side makes too much sense...
    I'm BG 5 and have yet to find any use for said items, other than selling them to a vendor.
    I saved all of them fior a long time as I found them, but once I confirmed there was no real use for them anywhere, I dumped them off on a vendor.

    Mail them to your Fed alt, or to my Fed alt if you don't have one.

    I don't fly Fed, and since it's the best we can get, I'll sell them and keep the few credits I get for them so i can afford the outragous prices on the exchange for items the Feds find everywhere but Klingons don't. thanks...

    Funny enough, feds don't use em either. Hardly anyone bothers with those stupid "aid the planet" exploration quests. They aren't worth it.

    if I were playing fed, I sure wouldn't bother with them either. the real money is in farming purples for the exchange, since klingons have nearly no access to gear besides what you can buy with pvp medals, marks of honor and badges of exploration.
