Why not a targ handler specialization?

Why do the Klingons have to copy the exact Federation template? (don't answer that)

There are NPC Targ Handlers, so why not make it a specialization for Klingons to play. The devs could easily change this NPC function into a playable function as it is already in-game.

There is no reason we should not be able to unleash targs on Fed players in PvP.

That might make a nice ground counterpart to Photonic Fleet. I support this idea, though I will probably regret it the first time I meet a player targ handler, lol

Targs would be a C-store item? Tier 1 thru 5 Targs???

Fed equivalent or Vulcan Sehlat (a "live teddy bear with six-inch fangs")?

How about those lizzard pets the Gorn have that they sick on Fed players in some of the Fed missions?

I don't want Tribbles..I do want Targ pets..and those nasty little Lizards the Gorn have. I wonder it Targ Handlers could be a kit of some sort...or a new class. I like this idea...

Be nice, but they'd end up being just as squishy or not more, than turrets/gens during the borg or other aoe happy loadouts. (meaning lasts 1-2sec, then dead)

Still, I was saddened when we saw NPC's use them, and we couldn't. Though, I gotta say, when I first saw them, i thought to myself, " dear lord, not another hunter wow wannabe thing "

Tac officers get a security detail, Klingons could get targ's, or the gorn things, and then fed's could get a skinning knife, and after a pvp match add specialized boots to the exchange :D

I'd like to have a Targ offsider.

I'm not sure how it'd work, but this is my theory:

    1. No class restriction, anyone from Tac to Sci can have one.
    2. It should be mission based, i.e: acquire a Targ from the KDF kennel or something like that.
    3. The Targ would be counted as a revivable pet. If it falls in battle, you revive it like a BOFF. But it would have to be enhanced with extra health to compensate for the lack of armor.
    4. It would be a click power, like Neural Blast or something similar.

As an alternative, you could also have a mission to get one of the Gorn Saurs, but you should only be allowed to use Targ or Saur, not both simultaneously.

As for a Federation Equivalent, I'm not sure what we could have.

Lol - I like this idea.

Seriously though - I would like to see a pet class in the game. I am one of the few that actually enjoy ground combat more than space. Yeah it is a bit dull and broken - but aty least I don't feel I am wiping out the population of a small planet in a single mission by defeating a few dozens ships with several thousand crew onboard each mssion.
