The following is a qoute from Dev Dstahl
"After getting out of a scheduling meeting today I can give a quick update on this.
Klingon PVE episodes have been confirmed to be in the Season Two update plan and the design pod is starting work on the content next week. Season Two is scheduled to be released this summer. It is a decent amount of content so will take some time to make it cool.
I'll be tracking this content as we get closer via the Engineering Report forum. Keep in mind that schedules are always subject to change - but hopefully this will give you an idea."

Hmm.
Shh, reasoning isn't allowed in this section of the forums
Its a start , will it help? Not sure the dmg might have alrdy been done if we can bait fed players over with pve that would be great , wouldnt take long to teach them how to pvp the right way.
Try telling that to the dramatic cry babies we have infested in this forum...
The game is out 30 days and there are people whining about lack of content on a faction that was barely finished by launch.
I hate to see, when/if things get bad in the future...
Oh Well, I guess another three months wont hurt till Klingons get decent PVE, I love the episodic quests, Also, its great to get confirmation to what is happening from a official sauce, keep the information coming.:D
People will be joining this game for a long time, so I don't think there is any valid concern for long-term damage to the faction.
I may be wrong, but people have a tendency to blow things way out of proportion
With the limited charslots etc I wonder for which part of the subscribers they make most of this new PvE content for Klingons? Aka Endgame PvE episodes at General level or a full spectrum from level 6+ ?
Not too hard hehe, if they add the episodes/pve content to the klingons, i am sold lol.
I would have been a Klingon on day one, but you have to give me atleast content/episodes.
30 days? Not sure in what time anomaly you live but here on earth the game has been out for almost 50 days, not even counting the headstart.
Time is apparently measured in how many times you pay the sub, there is only 30,60,90 etc for time now.
Fed trolls, dontcha love'em?
"Barely finished" or "clearly unfinished"? Google the independent reviews of STO - "Gene Roddenberry spining in his grave" etc.
Wouldn't be so bad if the monthly fee was pro-rated for amount of content received. Charge $5/month to play Klingons and CUSTOMERS might accept their 3rd class status as a monster faction. If we're paying for full rate and getting 3rd, with nothing but a continuation of Fedcentric updates, then expect the complaints to continue. Either live with the LEGITIMATE complaints or stay on the Federation forums.
I'm glad to see Cryptic devoting some resources to Klingon episodic missions. That's GREAT NEWS! The proof will be in the pudding. If the "season 2 uipdate" comes with more Klingon content than Federation content I will be both impressed and surprised. If it arrives with more Federation content than Klingon content it will be a disappointment. In any event I expect to be watching developments from the sideline.
Cryptic is doing what it needs to do to survive. It's trying to retain subs. They promised a 45 day patch , ( it'll be late , which it then isn't a 45 d patch , now is ) they'll deliver soemthing . It'll be far below expectations. They are in damage control . If they deliver one episodic mission they will have fulfilled their statement . All this will happpen at the same time a new faction will be introduced , along with all the new content they need to introduce to keep the Fed subs they have , while Cryptic is designing a new game . I'd say it's stretching reality a bit tsay. Klingons will get epsodic content . Right now they they have more then likely evaluated the stories they have on the Fed side , looked at the most generic and easily convertible and that's what you'll get.
They are not going to ( and I'll say it ) waste resources and manpower on a small population player base . How many ships and new features do Fed subs get relative to Klingon subs ? That should be an excellant indicator of how Cryptic views the game and it's factions and future factions.
Hell , they are have a horrible time finding the bugs on internal testing , so they turn to tribble and try to get folks to find the bugs there. Why because they had to push back the release of the patch because it's too buggy . They won't say that , but that's what's going on. Cryptic is in a desparate state right now to get resubs and stop the flow of people leaving the game.
For an unfinished faction, you guys sure do cry over what they gave us.... BoP with universal slots, cannons on most ships.... hate to even think about the amount of flaming/crying there would have been if they had spent more time on us.
LOL.. Very well said.
I'd trade my fewer slots that happen to be universal for stronger hulls and shielding, and my tiny 45 deg firing arcs for 270 "you can't get away" ones, anyday.
Oh wait, I did trade. 45 BG has been parked for awhile now (well, I play on Tribble to test new stuff). My 45 RA, and a few alts, get the majority of my time now.
