I have a few questions regarding Klingon clothing options.
1. Is it possible to change the colors on sashes? So far I have not seen this options on the 9 I have unlocked.
2. Can you wear the metal "Chang" eye patch? I see NPCs in Kronos wearing them (yeah I dont wanna look up the spelling)
3. Can you wear the... how to describe them. Vestments with pockets. Door guards in the great hall wear them as to plenty of TNG and movie Klingons (Christopher Lloyd in ST:3)
If the answers to any of these questions is "no" I hope that before they add a whole load of fed outfits they add a little variety to the Klingon side of the house.
No, no, and no. Well, the tier 5 sash is sort of a big fluffy collar that hangs down on both sides sort of like the door guard 'vests,' with various medals and things in addition to the sash. No pockets on it though. I don't wear it because it looks like the collar from the trenchcoats the high council wear, without the coat.
I think they should add the trenchcoat for their generals.

Hey thank for the input man, I'll have to wait till tier 5 to see what youre talking about but that will only be about 90 hours of grinding right? Thanks again though for the info.
The longer costumes you see on NPCs (long coats, dresses, basically anything that extends past the waist) aren't suitable for players due to player animations. The NPCs can wear them because they're very restricted in the movements their models can make. That's basically what the devs have said on that.
while we talk about uniforms..
i never saw a female on a klingon ship wearing anything else but the 'standard' klingon battle gear...
Female characters on the Klingon side have even less options than males. I was shocked when I went to customize one of my male BOs and saw all the additional options they get.
I really wish whoever has the monopoly on Klingon footwear that's shutting out all competition would fall into a sun. Those boots are more massive than the rest of my character's clothes put together.

I would like to have the option to wear the metal eye patch considering my Character is General Chang. That Patrick5wayze4 have asked in question 2.
I wanted to add another question:
1) Would it be possible to be able to customize the Klingon logo that is on our ships to show what fleet/guild we are in? I think this would be so cool considering I am the fleet leader of the Black Legion Knights ( klingon fleet ) so other players can see we are in a fleet and to distinquish us between other fleets.:)
Mark my words, as soon as Federation players get more revealing clothing they will discover the toons have no belly buttons. FED TOONS MUST HAVE BELLY BUTTONS will be the cry. And they will get them
Then Fedrats will demand belly button jewelry. And they will get it.
Meanwhile, Klingons will have the exact same short list of uniform customizations. Klingon and Orion females will have the exact same uniforms (like they would actually dress the same anyway).
Like the tree falling in the forest, when t\he Klingon Empire falls will anyone be there to hear it?

I agree with the Vestie things, that the Swordsman wear in the great hall, I think Captian or General for those. It would be similar to the Federation pins.
Sashes are unlocked as you rank up. Don't remember which rank they start at (could be the beginning?). Everyone on the Klingon side can wear them (orions, gorn, aliens, etc). Unfortunately, most of them clip through the shoulder options pretty badly, at least on female characters who probably want to have something on their shoulders so they don't look so bare.

Actually the Women have shoulderpads that don't have any sash clipping. Male characters on the other hand.
Compared to the huge choice the Feds have, the options for Klingon clothing is derisory, doubly so if you roll a female toon as they have about half the options of a male character, which is a minor scandal frankly considering the damn art work is already in the damn game on the damn NPCs walking around Qo'nos.
Why are player Gorn and Orions only able to dress like Klingons when NPC Gorn and Orions have loads of racially specific outfits? Very annoying.

The shoulder pads in 'standard' stance do not clip with a sash but is just about any other stance they do... the pointy ones do not clip in 'brawler' stance as well.
IMHO they should get rid of that very weird sash with pockets on it ASAP. i took it as a costume change, walked about 5 meters, saw how riddiculus i looked and changed it back to a normal sash.
Long trenchcoats for BG's would be... *drool*
I want to have an eyepatch like General Changs on my character

That was totally blown out of the water when my Federation guy got to wear the long Klingon coat for a mission as a hologram disguise. So Federation people get the cool Klingon coat while actual Klingons get to wish they had it while being told its impossible.
Wow...if I couldn't see the join dates I'd think everyone in this thread has just discovered the KDF lack of costume choices...
It's been that way since launch...guess I'm so used to to by now I don' even think about it anymore.
Countless threads have been posted asking for more choices, shoot, maybe even get the off duty uniforms to work or the armor and kits to display, but it's never happened, never even seen Dev post saying "Hey we;'re working on some, soon"
But the Feds have gotten some amazing additions since launch, pretty much wahever they requested...bikinis, thigh high boots, mini skirts, jackets, jewlery, you name it.
yeaahhh....
I've kinda figured out by now that's the way things work in STO...
It may be a zombie thread, but there is definatly a reason why it is.
The last 2 KDF costume options were the C-Store Klingon Academy Uniform that popped into being just before season5 and the Qo'nos revamp. And the KDF honor guard uniform which can only be gotten by getting the Mk XI KHG ground set.. and thats not even the full uniform.. you have to getthe full Mk XII set to get that.. there are additional unlocka ble elements, but you get those from compleating all the optionals at elite level of play.
There has been no additional costume options for KDF characters since the game launched other then the ones listed above.
I remember a dev saying that the Klingons don't have enough players to be important enough to get as much new stuff as the Feds, adleast in the outfit area.

Ha, i agree. But hopefully they will see that the Klingon Empire deserves just as much, if not more, than the Federation.

maybe Lursa & B'Tor were wearing something else, or Grilka, but both were not part of the KDF though

Remember that Klingon in the first season or so of ST TNG with the big WILD hair? I WANT THAT HAIR FOR MY KLINGON!

2: Can only Klingons wear them?

/signed !!!
And some choice of SHOES!!!
I agree !
That will happen when the Feds get "liberated Orion slave girl" C-store playable species, and not until.

Welcome to the Empire.
Absolutely, they have to keep their culture alive!
Have a look at the Post dates... Its a Zombie thread.

Ah yes, that was back in season one or two I think....maybe 3...
still a awefully short list I'm sure you'll agree.
