Lack of ships and ship customization is pathetic at this point

Excluding the starters ships, the Federation has over 45 ships to choose from, 3 of which can be mixed and matched, hull coloring as well as the mapping, windows, etc.

The Klingons have 13, BUT, no, thats not right because the BoP and Raptor are basically the same for 40 levels, with some minor changes. So your looking at basically 6 different models, and no mixing and matching, no window options, no hull texture/color options besides the same mapping you get on fed side. Its total bs and Im really sick of it. The Klingon side is such a full blown cop out by the devs with their "its a warrior race so pvp only" excuses that its insulting.

You guys are talking about new playable factions already which is great, but how about making the Klingons an actual playable faction 1st, you want to leave them with minimal PvE content, fine, but the ship options is BS and its high time you fixed it.

1 new T2 ship coming in the update, 1, are you guys kidding? A ship you may use for a week? How about Captain and Admiral level ships, ship customizations already, arent you guys the oh so greatest at providing massive character /gear/ship customization?

Well where is it?

Yes, Klingon ship customization is pathetic, but I'm sorry, on the list of "STOpathetic" items, ship customization is not anywhere near the top.

    - pathetic Klingon content
    - pathetically easy Federation content
    - pathetically small maps
    - pathetically unrealistic combat ranges
    - pathetically unable to prioritize problems
    - pathetically unable to make good on promises such as Klingon Joined Trill
    - pathetically nerfed PvP rewards
    - pathetically screwed up queue system

They do seem to have fixed server stability, kudos on that.

My understanding is that there is increased ship customization in the upcoming 'content' patch. However STObee has expressed my and hopefully most everyone's opinion of that.

The guys who do art, like ships are not the guys who are going to do any of the things you refer to here. I agree with everything you ask for here, dont get me wrong, but there already talking about a new playable faction this year, its insane to think this is it for the klingons, the anti thesis to the Fed for the game, its sad and what does that mean for another faction? Will it be totally half assed like the klingons? I mean 6 ships, vs 45, are you serious?

I agree with you on the 'Guys who do art' thing but please look at the Tribble forums, there are more ships on the way and a lot more customisation options for the 'set' ships we have now.

Remember that Cryptic may have the licence for the game but new ships and such would need to be cleared through Univeral or whoever it is that owns the rights to Star Trek. The same situation is in place for SWG.....all brand new content (non canon) needs to go through Lucas Arts for approvable before it can be launched and it can take a butt load of time to go through all the right channels to acomplish this.

And finally where is my Kvorrt Cruiser!!

Have you been to QoNos lately? I dont think theyve fixed the server problems at all. The constant disconnects on QoNos are really bad and annoying.

The Klingon empire now has what, gorn, nausican, and more under it, they could offer those ships in the mix as well, its just a sad situation with the Klingons, and to start talking about more factions with one so lacking, really ****ed me off.

The art people are working on more Federation clothing, not new Klingon/Gorn/Nausican/Orion ships.

"Experience Risa in style! Starfleet officers will have the option to change into off-duty outfits to enjoy more casual attire." (Notice there is no mention about KDF officers having more options.)

And THREE new federation species - how nice for them.

"New Federation Playable Species - Become a Tellarite, Pakled or Rigelian."

We will get to make changes to the appearance of our existing ship types however.

"Use the ship tailor to customize your Bird of Prey, Carrier or Raptor."

Plus a T2 cruiser - something I have been waiting for, so good for Cryptic.

"The K’Tanco Battle Cruiser has been made available to Klingon Lieutenant Commanders."

Even Cryptic has got to see that the Klingon faction is in a death spiral. Apparently they have decided not to go to heroic lengths to save the Klingons, at least not yet.

I'd like to see the figures on Klingon players time in game totals starting with open beta thru the end of April. Will it show a cliff, a downward curve or a series of downward steps?

ive been wondering, has anyone seen the alternate negh'var designs (the hammerhead shown during the expanding universe video and on various screenshots from people on tribble) did they decide not to include these in this update? the above lists only bop, rap and carrier...no mention of cruiser customization...

I was just on tribble and Cryptic is just looking like liars at this point.

The brand new ship has no window, material or hull customization options just like the rest, its another take it or leave it ship.

The "new" BoP stuff, LOL, you can slap the lame decal designs on different parts, thats it. Still no window or material options, no hull/nacelle/etc etc changes.

    Vor'Cha no customization at all

K'tinga same as before, which is still more than anything else but a joke compared to the feds

Only captain 7 so cant check to see if that neg variant is in or what you can do with the carrier, but ill bet real money the carrier stuff is totally superficial with decals, etc, no hull changes, no hull material options, no window options, no part swapping....because there is only 1 model so nothing to mix and match with.

Cryptic I have always been a supporter of you, but your really failing here. The staple of your game is character options, and for Klingons there are none. There are less and less playing the Klingon side everyday, and you have the audacity to start talking new factions, when this one is a mess.

Dont bother me with fan boy praise either about letting us in existing events like big dig, crystal entity and the like, that took no work at all, new explore areas, oh boy, such fun, not.

There are 45 ship variants for the fed players, we have what 6? 7 now with the new one? The BoP's and Raptors you fly for 40 levels are almost the same, those arent new or different, maybe at admiral you should take the 3 different models from the 3 main tiers and allow player to mix and match between those at least? I am a cruiser player but its something for the fest of my faction, same thing you could do with the 3 raptor models, allow ppl some for of unique ship design.

The cruiser players are screwed, as is the carrier player. The carrier is even worse looking than the star cruisers, but at least they can mix and match and find something they can live with.

Yeah great, so now we fight FedRats in bikini's in ground PVP / Infected missions:rolleyes:

Pakleds? a species from 1 episode of TNG? no caitans/Kizinti/Lyran??? meh it's a C-store grab anyhow..

    K'Tanco was a D7 name, not a ship class.. where's the D4 / D5??

I'd say looking at it, the Klingons are a bigger flash in the pan drop off than Warhammer online. Hate to say I told ya so, but the Klingon monsterplay was not what anyone asked for, and we stated as much since beta...

    or

Roll another Klingon like I did...

or if the Klingon faction is so abhorrent to you then stick to your Fed ;)

if this isn't enough to satisfy you, then please email me your shtuffz before you go...
