I was excited about playing as a Klingon. After maxing out as a Fed and finding little challenges left as a Fed, I decided to play as a Klingon.
Am I missing something as a Klingon? Where are the missions? I have had to replay the Kahless Defense over and over just to get any skill points to level up. I have stumbled on some missions in systems, only to play them and get no points.

I think the Klingon Empire is dead....
I really hope there is hope for it...
Did you read the description of Klingon faction ? We are the PvP faction, so hit the ques young one.
Playing as a Klingon requires determination and teamwork to get anywhere. There is only PvP. However, I find the players on the Klingon side to be more competent and helpful... plus fewer spammers.

The devs saying the Klingons are "the PvP faction" is just a copout, lame excuse for them to put no effort into this faction. The state of Night & Day when this game went live between the KDF & Federation factions speaks volumes. You know where the devs' heart and soul went into... the Federation... by the thoroughly more complete experience a UFP player has, compared to one that goes with the Klingons, where the term "1 dimensional" comes readily to mind.
So you say to a new KDF player to start hitting the PvP ques to be a Klingon? So what? I can do the same with my Federation character, AND still have access to the 90% rest of the game, something the Klingons can't even do. I can get access to superior equipment from PvE or the "so-called-crafting-system" that the Feds have access to.
The fact remains that PvP gets old with the same handful of maps, and with the advent of the SP reward nerf from PvP, makes things more tiring. To compound matters worse for the KDF, when you DO get tired of PvP, the PvE (or to be more exact, what little there is) will make you want to put your c*** on a chopping block.

There's no spamming in the KDF side of the game because even the Gold Sellers know that there aren't enough players there to even bother wasting an account that's going to get banned.
That speaks volumes about how many KDF players there are, and how much the faction is worth in their money grabbing eyes.
Those of us who love the Klingon side and that have stuck with it so far are putting all our hopes on the 45 day patch adding enough to keep us here.
However, the hope may be false because no matter what they add for us, if they add F v F pvp with all the benefits of *real* pvp, ie experience and medals, it will utterly kill the Klingons dead as a faction.
Why you ask? Because even with all the advantages the feds have that the good Klingons have overcome by teamwork and tenacity, the rampant sci officers taking over everything, the Feds still hate "the cloak" and they will happily fight each other in simulations and never face another Klingon again if given the opportunity.
I watch, and I wait. But I'm not holding my breath.
I think Romulans will help out with the Klingon issue...but that would be a ways away. I know I will still be here and fighting the good fight on my Klingon, but I suspect we are not going to be seeing a ton of love for awhile.
On the plus side, when they get up to four factions, then four way PvP maps will be AWESOME!
As it stands right now, the addition of more playable factions right now would thin the already pitiful KDF numbers even more. I would LOVE to see the last of the Big 3 TOS races be introduced as playable... the Romulans... but not at the cost of the Klingons.
If you arent shooting at another player, you're not doing it right. KDF is necessarily boring...just the PvE is for sure.
PvP is fun in a way, but will only be satisfying if we get open, objective based, war PvP. Unfortunaty, the more you play, the faster you race to T5 to do nothing.

I guess you will have to do it like: Explo--> Defense-->Explo--Defense-->[...]
to level up without doing PvP...
Then again, my Tribble Klingon is just Lt...

Damned if you do, damned if you don't!
