Are there any klingons on the klingon side?

Hi guys, I'm a fed and I like the immersion of this game in a lot of ways. I like the fed vs klingon aspect of pvp and I tend to have fun fighting you guys in space. I know i'm a bit of a whiner here, but I completely stopped queuing up for ground missions for one reason: I never ever see any klingons.

No I don't mean you guys don't queu up and I don't get to play. I mean I've gone through dozens of queus without ever once seeing a Klingon, Gorn or really anything other than some monstrosity in the alien creator. I found against a team that was almost entirely human once!

Really, the super short midget thing or the stalky legs tall skinny aliens are getting annoying. It's not funny, its not helpful, it just makes you look stupid. Slider bars give you options, abusing slider bars by seeing what wierd stuff you can make when you slam them all the way to one extreme or the other isn't original, it just makes you like everyone else.

So if you "Klingons" are having trouble with your ground queus, I know I and a lot of friends are refraining from it for exclusively this reason.... Q'pla.

Have you seriously tried playing a Klingon?

Read some of the "Klingon Empire is Dead" threads, then as a Fed player petition Cryptic for more Klingon content. Otherwise you will continue to see fewer and fewer "Klingon" Klingons.

I play an ordinary-sized Orion. sorry if that doesn't count as Klingon. at least it's not a wacky-sized alien, though.

Youre right, everyone on each side should look exactly the same without any differences. You know, cause thats makes the games so much more fun and thats just like how it is in real life

Are there even any humans on the fed side? I always see Andorians and Bolians and what not. They should only allow them to be humans.

Why make a klingon other than for RP? Or if you're weird and and care lots about ground combat.

The only reasons I see for making one.

RP? You must have am much more active imagination than mine. Most RP goes on over on the Fed side. Theres no storyline at all on the Klingon side. I guess if you just role play loving killing the same fed ships over and over again you could get some kicks from it...

My tactical BG is a Klingon. He stopped logging in after realizing there are no suitable females for him, and human ones are too fragile.

I have two Klingons, and both are of the Klingon species. Be'toQ is my BG5 engineer and Khel is my LC4 tactical officer who I am leveling slowly in hopes that the 45 day patch will bring new experiences to enjoy.

It's a personal preference for me because I like the Klingon species itself, and from the canon, I will NEVER make an alien race just so I can maximize the silly advantage an alien gets (thanks Cryptic) or even one of the "conquered" races like the Nausicaans. The KDF would NEVER have Klingon ships commanded by anything other than a Klingon, and no position on a ship would be had by any alien species of any type past menial/manual labor. The reason for this is the Klingons believe every race inferior to them and they don't trust easily. They might ally themselves with the Orions, Gorn and such, but they would never allow these species to hold positions of power in the Empire.

I play Orion - they at least have some level of handsomeness in them. I didnt want to play Klingon simply because they are ugly brown mutants. If they looked better maybe people will start playing them.

Blame the stupid trait system for that.

The Klingon Faction is pretty much full PvP right now and most PvP players will sacrifice anything to improve their chance to win, even by a very small amount.

Klingons get to chose two traits in addition to their two ground-based racial traits, Aliens get to chose all four traits = Aliens make "better" space captains and have the potential to make better ground captains too.

Then you also have the fact that most races on the Klingon side offer extremely poor customization (Gorns, Letheans) or don't even look like they did in the series (Nausicaans). Hell, even the faction's "main race" has far less customization options than the majority of those on the Fed side of the fence.

The "Ugly Factor" plays its part too since "Ugly" races are usually less popular in most MMOs, especially when you have the option to make a "more beautiful", fully customizable and more efficient character of the same faction without having to suffer any penalty

So yeah, the only "real" Klingons you'll see in PvP are the people who really liked the race and wanted to make one no matter what (well except for those who rolled an Alien and made him look exactly like a Klingon to get the best of both worlds), I know that's why I made mine.
