I am curious if these have been fixed lately. Saturday I ran into several t5 fed groups who had people using these weapons and they seemed to really shred my BOP's hull. Especially one escort who I saw rip my hull without even doing any shield damage and RSP doesn't seem to help either. I had heard that they were useless since they seemed to be bugged.
I bet he hit you with target subsystems shields and took them down on that side and blew you away.
Yer. if you get a half decent team with a couple of tactical types using target subsystem shields followed by a HW3 volley then you'll get dropped quickly. You need shields about 75ish to withstand it. One of my worst enemies!

I made a thread about this a week ago and got called crazy too. Gettinig killed over and over with full shields, yet people are still convinced that by T5 we don't know when our shields are up or down.
1. we were isolated 1v1.
2. my shields never dropped while I took damage.
3. He did less than 150K damage despite killing many of us.
As a note I fought him several times that day and he did not always do this but it did happen many times. In fact we were beaten badly by everyteam that had antiprotons, and no one on the other team did any substantial amount of damage to account for the wholesale slaughter.
I have seen this too. I have been unable to figure out if what is happening is a bug, skill or exploit or even server client lag where we just don't see what really happened.
part of that is just the shear amount of bleedthrough damage, and especially if you have RSP running, your still taking bleedthrough damage and if you have 5 ships focused on you, you will die if there is enough dps because it just bleeds through, and since most buffs and things only block kinetic resists it tends to rip through hull quickly using anti-proton as its a stat all ships have a native weakness to(or seems to have a native weekness to).
I know I've died with shields up just from the shear amount of dps that a t5 tactical escort can whip out in a single spike, though it hasto do with some of their self buffs as its often only once every so many minutes.
But I've been in a carrier maxed out on defense and had an escort go through shields and hull in 5 seconds or less with rsp running before...no idea how they did it as the combat log was spammed so heavilly by the fight that was going on I couldn't go back through it to read it.
One of the ship shield types has 0 bleedthrough. Might be worth it, except Klingon vendors are still (STILL!) screwed up and you can't get Admiral shields from the PvP guy...
There's also that one engineer BOFF skill that increases shield penetration against your target. I wasn't too impressed with it but maybe combined with antiproton (or whatever) it's actually good.
You should look at your combat log next time it happens and try and figure out where it's coming from.
Well I tested it today 1 antiproton dual cannon against a keldon in chos. I saw no additional hull damage at all, so they don't do anything at least on the klingon side. There was no evidence of the skip shield proc firing at all.
Direct Energy Modulation , I have made this post before as I have fought this team........I also added that with adding resepcts and AND nerfing FBP the ONLY counter to this you're asking for BIG trouble.....FBP is the counter only beam weps get by the shileds with DEM , and FBP only reflects Beam weps , the trouble is ppl found the counter before Feds found how good a full team running DEM is........
As this guy said tho they stack DEM and dont even worry about shields your dead in less than 20's I wasnt running FBP the first fight and it was the only way to slow them down my team was a pug half the players didnt have FBP so they kept feeding them kills till we lost.
I tried direct energy modulation it did nothing I could notice.

ya the tool tip is wrong for one , it doesnt help enegry weps get by shields JUST beams,it is also like the disruptor buff alone its not that great you get a full team of 5 running it is when it shines.
Also if you get the fleets name plz post it here or contact General Ch'thorgh The BEAR in game , I know they are speced into it also , I just want to ask them what else they speced into.
The 2.5% proc on Antiproton weapons is apparently a chance to ignore shields. It is not listed on the item descriptions in the vendor menu, but can be seen in the full details.

This is apparently not the case. Again, just bad description in the vendor menu. The daily reward shields have normal bleedthrough values for their type (10% for Covariant and Regenerative, 5% for Resilient).
EDIT: Didn't realize this was a Klingon forum, oh well my question is still relevant.
I am still very confused, I am working towards outfitting my T5 Advanced Escort to be efficient against the Borg. I have been running a mix of DH cannons, one Antiproton, one plasma and one polaron.
Would it suit me better to go with 3 Dual Heavy Antiproton cannons? Are the effects of damage bypassing shields not working? Is Antiproton best against Borg?
I would like to know as I don't want to waste my badges on the stuff if I can get better results with something else.
Not sure if antiproton is working or not that is the reason I started the post my tests indicate that it doesn't skip shields at all, however I have had many encounters with feds who seem to have it working so I dont know. Maybe I need to try a full set of 3 and see how it works that way, but I tried 1 antiproton and no other guns and saw no increase in hull damage even using RF3. I would not mind if some of the feds who are using them successfully would explain how they kill us without taking out any shields. It would certainly show me that you are not exploiting.
I have seen this and dismissed it as that tricobalt or possibly a ram all i know is that they get very close to do it and possibly let go a torpedo. In all that mess its often hard to tell.
I have gotten some wierd combat readout that makes no sense, but I have been destroyed by a single player far to quickly as in two shoted..
Granted my ship skills are not that great because I was more concentrated on ground but still two kill me in two shots while in a carrier with the shields off the pvp vendor all upgraded to admiral level makes little sense.
I have no clue what is causing it and not being one to get bothered about stuff I kinda of ignored it.. and blame it on me, but its possible its not me.. and only twice did i try to figure out what weapons it was and it was tricobalt torpedos one one occassion and on another occassion someone had used all his slots of mines same type (i never saw so many mines come out of one ship) but that is what did me in..
I simply kinda ignore these things.. but I thought I would add my info to the pile..
it may not even be that.. again i ignored it and just kept moving on ..

aww I was saving up for this dream shield.. I guess i wont worry about it then

You will out put more damage(DPS) if you use all the same energy type: plasma, polaron or antiproton, not a mix. See the tool tip -10 power when firing other energy types. Or something like that..

Err, no. It's -10 Weapon Energy power for each weapon fired beyond the first. And that's just for the weapons that give -10 energy. Turrets do -8, Dual Heavy Cannons do -12, and I think everything else that's an energy weapon does -10. Here's a short explanation.
I have 5 beam arrays and 100 Weapon power. 1 beam array is firing, it's firing at 100 weapon power. (Power drain as I said only kicks in after the first weapon fired, so that weapon is free). 2 beam arrays firing, firing at 90 Weapon power. 3 fire at 80 weapon power. 4 fire at 70 weapon power. 5 fire at 60 weapon power. Now because not all weapons fire at exactly the same time and weapon cycle on and off and energy is almost always returning back to it's normal set value (100 in this case), this is not exactly true. But it's close enough to understand the concept.
Again, let's say I am firing 3 Dual Heavy Cannons at 100 Weapon power. 1 fires at 100 weapon power, 2 fire at 88 weapon power, and 3 fire at 76 weapon power. Make sense? This doesn't matter which energy type you're using. You can have a 6 Turret ship with one of each of the six energy types, it still will have the same energy drain as if it was 6 phaser turrets.
However from an economy of skill points and console bonuses, it is usually advisable to stick to one energy type to increase DPS.
Sticking to one energy type, disruptors, for example would let you run disruptor coil tactical consoles to benefit all of your energy weapons. When spending your skill points, having only one energy type will take fewer skill points than having to buff multiple.
There is a difference between bumping an old post with a similar question and necro bumping to respond to a post with obsolete information.
For instance, AP has changed from having a Shield Bypass proc to just high criticals. And since summer, weapon power has changed a couple of times with weapon systems.

really, then why do another half of the posters tell users to search for it? When they do who cares what the age is.
