What, the group photo? Snagged a pic of each crew member in the tailor screen, dragged the resulting pics into an image editor like Photoshop, played around a bit and bam! Easy enough, just can be a bit time consuming.
I wanted to capture the essence of my crew so the picture took on ginormous proportions, but I'm happy with the results because you can clearly see the detail I put into my crew. I believe they'd make a great crew for a new Star Trek TV series

Yeah, well I started my Starfleet career with a boat full of Andorians and they all stuck with me, just developing their individual persona's. I think there was ONE I got rid of, but the rest were just to awesome to remove, I just supplemented the extra officer slots I was getting with new races

I had a smaller version of this picture that I was going to use as a sig if they ever decided to allow graphic sigs here on the STO boards, like they do on the CO boards, but that said:
My main crew is all the same alien race as the picture in my avatar (plus one ex-Borg human). They were a technological race that made heavy use of cybernetic implants. You can see this in the wire scarring on most of their faces. When they encountered the Borg they thought they'd had encountered kindred spirits, only to almost end up being assimilated by them. Satu Tyr Eiroe was assimilated by the Borg, but he was reclaimed, and he used the knowledge he had gained during his time in the collective to help drive the Borg off of his world. The Borg bridge officer was liberated from the collective at the same time as Satu, and thus has remained a member of his crew as they seek retribution against the Borg for their crimes.
