"Hirogen have been attacking Civilian transports, we've lost two this month!"

"The Hirogen using the Aido system as a resupply base...
...We may not be able to chase them out of our space for good, but a show of force should convince them to seek prey elsewhere."

First off, Aido is Supremely Romulan territory. I don't know what I'm doing in Psi Valorum to begin with... we're not at war with the Romulans and this is WAY past the neutral zone...
...but what are "civilian" transports (Federation I presume?) doing within striking distance of a sector this war into Romulan space? And shouldn't this be an issue under Romulan jurisdiction, to be brought up through diplomatic channels? Is it really appropriate for me to fly into the territory of another sovereign entity without permission to engage in hostilities with one of their allies?

Moreover, what's the deal with just picking some random Hirogen to punch in the face?
I mean, we don't know that these SPECIFIC Hirogen were involved in ANY raids, let alone raids on civilian transports. It's pretty safe to assume they're hunting something, but where's the due process?
When did the Federation suddenly fall to prejudice?

All Hirogen are the same so it really doesn't matter which ones we kill in response to their acts... so long as SOME Hirogen die? Really? Punishment is death... by racial association?? Are f$%ing kidding me!????

And since when is an eye for an eye the Federation's answer to conflict?Shouldn't they be trying other solutions first?
Why isn't this a three part mission?
Phase 1: Transports under attack by unknown attackers, Cpt Enkidu of the USS Uruk to the rescue! Drive the raiders off!
Phase 2: It was Hirogen sir. Track them back to their base and begin negotiations to keep them away from out civilian transports.
Phase 3: Negotiations break down, kill them... kill them all.

At least then I feel better for at least TRYING to put the Federation's best foot forward.
Why is it that anytime I encounter a race that is not apart of the Federation the mission assumes they are evil and should be vaporized long before they have a chance to open hailing frequencies and deceive me with their viscous lies.

I feel as if I'm in the episode Conundrum YouTube Here

Whoah wait, way to bury the lead!

What are the Hirogen doing attacking civilian transports?? How are those worthy prey? That's not the Hirogen MO at all; that's not how they operate. Every single mission is a damn trick. Every damn officer at Starfleet handing out missions is an Undine!! This is ridiculous! How could I not see it sooner? There's no way Hirogen were raiding civilian transports! It's all a lie to provoke more conflict!
