Best Key layout for melee?

I use a combination of the mouse and WASD to move my character. Doing that at the same time as pressing 1 2 and 3 (sometimes more!) is... difficult. :P

Any suggestions on how I should map my keys for Melee combat?

    Buy a Belkin Nostromo Gamepad, its like a Programable Recliner for your hand. If you find a pic of it you will see what I mean. It puts the keyboard commands at a fingers reach.

    I use the 10key for attacks and WASD for movement but seems the number 9 at least on my 10 key wont work in STO which is weird...
