Every Fleet action or Enemy contact, is impossible to give directions or talk to people that are playing with you.
The big reason for this is ofcorse that people in other zones can see your chat you can see theres, and there mission is likely at a completey different point.
This causes massive confusion people shooting wrong targets like repair hubs or running to wrong locations etc.
To be honest not sure how to fix this, Other than auto grouping everyone in a instance into the same chat, or limiting people to chatting in there zone only while the mission is active.
Eh, maybe an instance-only command would be nice. But personally... it's not hard to see if what someone says comes from your own instance or another. [Zone] versus [Zone #...]
you do realize that by right clicking the chat window you can customize your current chat tabs or create new ones...and set the filter to block zone chat or whatever else you want?....

use team chat
Because team chat doesnt work for fleet actions does it? all 20 people in the fleet action can use team chat even though your not in a team?
ok so for fleet actions yeah, zone chat sucks, local works great though
Does local cover the whole map?
But I agree automatically having some tab, or ability to auto create when joining a fleet makes sense.
In pvp if there was automatically a chat for each team, people might discuss tactics more.
it covers enough of it, so unless your way too far away youll see it
Which is why im saying these fleet action maps etc need a specific system chat.
