Giving up on missions - I am just dropping them

This isn't a whine post. I am still enjoying the game. But I finally just gave up on three missions because the game did not make it clear what the hell I was supposed to do.

2 of them were "deliver such-and-such to Planet-whatever". I get to the planet...no one hails me. I cant beam the supplies down. I don't know if simply having them in my hold is enough to finish the mission...I cant check on progress. I can contact them for the initial mission info, but after that the Planets are apparently on radio silence.

So I am just dropping the missions and moving on. Unlike Champions at least I have other things to do while they are fixing these missions. So thats a good thing. But they need to fix these eventually. At the very least, the goals (and how to complete them) need to be more clear.

    You must be talking about the aid missions? All you do is go find a cargo trader ship get the supplies they need then deliver them back. But you are right it is kind of blank on what you do. I finished filling like five of those missions with the supplies but now i cant find where all those planets are again ? lol

    I took the supplies back...no hail, no nothing. I did find the planet again, just no way of delivering them.

    Ah well. Blowing stuff up is more fun anyway.

    I have had this happen to me before, it is a bug. Report it leave the inst and head back later. you can always scan other anomalies to complete your mission set and return to that one later.

    In Open Beta those missions were bugged to where once you were back in the system with the commodities requested, and before you got back into planetary orbit, you had to drop the mission and then when entered orbit, would get a hail and be able to retake and finish mission immediately

    Yeah. I probably should have tried that first. Oh well. Now I know.
