Chat Tab Flash notification

I would like to see the chat tab flash when someone leaves a message, especially when someone chats in another box thats been setup for fleet officers, friends, groups etc.

Only other idea i saw of this was back in the beta archives last year. Someone else mentioned that you hear a beep but that only seem to be with tells that have been sent and replied.

This would be really useful.

    I love how the game plays the official communication sound when you get a message. Most of the time I minimize chat and the other day I was just walking away from the bridge and I heard a beetlededoot and returned to find a message. I love that little detail by itself :) I'm all for a flash option in the menu as long as its a toggle.

    I dont hear this beep sound that you mentioned, it is option toggle? cant see anything on chat options.
