One name that must not be used for a clan

My Klingon brethren, I am here to plead honourably that you should not form a clan that has the words "Black Fleet" in it... to do so would bring shame and dishonour upon you!

The Black Fleet is for brave warriors who have died honourably as Klingon warriors... it is not for the living! You are of course free to disagree, but I will have nothing to do with the filthy pataghs who would dishonour our traditions in such a dispicable way! Take heed... think well before you name your clan... do not dishonour our forefathers who have gone before us to take their rightful place in the Black Fleet, having died honourably as warriors, with a blade in their hands!

    For some reason now I wish I'd named ours Blood of Kahless' Black Fleet. :rolleyes:

    sigh... ok, how about we do it this way...


    The Black Fleet has returned from Sto-Vo-Kor.
    Kahless, sensing a dire threat to the Empire, sent a detachment of the honored dead to find the cause of his dark premonitions. Is it something mundane such as the Federation, Borg or Romulans? Or is it a power yet unknown? Perhaps a return of the old gods?
    It is the goal of The Black Fleet to find out.

    We are the Dead.

    Yet if my line should die,
    it dies with its teeth in the enemy's throat,
    it dies with its name on the enemy's tongue.
    For just as mere life is not victory,
    mere death is not defeat;
    And in the next world I shall kill the foe a thousand times,
    laughing, undefeated.



    There is your RP. Now go harass some other "non canon" fleet name or whatever.

    Fleet Size restrictions ? could always create it for that

    The Klingon Black Fleet (aka KBF) has been around a very long time.
    We were brothers in battle in other games before some who are playing STO were born.
    Where we come from, our Honor and prowness in battle has been proven consistantly.
    Our Fleet name is synonomus with Honor and Courage.
    And our name even precedes us here.
    Many from other fleets, both Federation and Klingon have welcomed us here.
    But we "offend" you? You "advise us to change our name"?
    Do not try to advise me on anything, there is nothing you can say that could possibly matter.
    And the name of your fleet? This could prove...interesting...
    Your battle record as a Klingon?
    What have you done to prove yourself worthy of being called a Warrior?

    Hey, that's great. Look, we're gonna need to go ahead and move you downstairs into storage B. We have some new people coming in, and we need all the space we can get. So if you could just go ahead and pack up your stuff and move it down there, that would be terrific, OK?

    Endonian my affiliation is to the Federation but my fleet has been around for 10 Years and has fought against these Warriors of KBF many times and at no time have they ever displayed any dishonour towards there enemies or there allies.

    If I was to be a Klingon I would want to hang around with these guys for the following reasons

    1. There honourable

    2. There a bunch of really good people

    3. There highly competant

    4. They have been playing star trek games since they started in some cases way back with SFB and certainly all have played the SFC series of games

    5. They dont smack talk like a lot of Klingon units do

    6. They are a mature bunch

    So I think they have qualified to be treat with a lot more respect than you are showing them. To put it in an RP slant for you. They have fought and died many times on servers far older than you and have earnt there place in Stovokor and in the Black Fleet. Be gone young pup and earn your Warrior title you Targ Pup.

    Krueg pm me or Fadedsparks on our forums I got a proposition for you, and something else to think about aswell.

    Can your living self handle these klingon warriors who have been around I'm PRETTY SURE just as long as the 9th? That's ten years. They've killed and been killed more than likely years before you touched a trek game ;)

    I'd say, they can have whatever damn name they want ;)

    I do agree with the OP on the unfortunate choice of name given the Star Trek roleplaying considerations.

    However from what I understand the Black Fleet has it's gaming roots elsewhere and is a damned good fleet and a welcome addition to STO. This one goes into the "willing suspension of disbelief" category for me. I'll just pretend I hear "Grey Fleet" every time they say "Black Fleet" and let them have their fun (and honor).

    You've just added more content than is in game at the moment.

    Kinda proud of that... my first foray into the RP side of things... pulled it outa my TRIBBLE but looks/sounds pretty good in my opinion. Give me enough beer and I could even RP that stuff in game..
