Need large UNIQUE icons for debuffs

I'm regretting my purchase more and more.
Why are there no large icons for debuffs put on me by NPC(or PC for that matter)?
Half the time I see no indication that I've been hit by something. No Icon. No nothing, opther than I can't move or fire for some reason.
Really weak oversight Cryptic.
