I just got my new Tier ship, for Commander and I have 3 fronts, and 3 backs and can only select two for autofire. WTF?
Seriously Cryptic, I am going to break my space bar by constantly hitting it to keep firing. This is really not necessary. Can we please have auto-fire for all. Don't understand the problem with this. Not to mention my 8 different BO skills I need to take care of, plus my evasive manuevers, plus brace for impact. Amongst other things. Not realistic to keep pressing fire over and over and over again. Why do you not listen to us?
This is constantly brought up, and I agree. In an escort loaded up with rapidly firing cannons, torps, BO skill cooldowns, maneovring, etc, it can be very hard work.
If nothing else, we need autofire for all cannons / beam weapons (front and aft). Perhaps just one auto firing torp allowed (if that is necessary to limit us). Some would argue that such a request is "dumbing down" gameplay, well I don't agree. There's enough to be doing with BO skills, and trying to get your cannons facing the right way whilst having your shields blown to bits, without giving your thumb a heavy workout.
After all, there's a reason why ships were manned with more than one person.
Before anyone chips in about pressing alt+space, please remember that there is a difference between firing all weapons once per button push, and auto-firing all weapons without having to press the button repeatedly.
