i know they are suposed to have a skill that jams sensers, scramble sensers, and one to mask signals. But battle cloak?
in every FvK battle i have been in today at least two players would cloak and...NOT lose thier shields, and STILL be able to fire thier weapons. All while cloaked.
I had one use what i think was ramming speed on me as i lost all my foward shielding and a good amount of hull in a very short amount of time and when he reappeared he was bumping the nose of my ship.
When a klingon uses battle cloak he can still be fired upon all the while he is cloaking...which takes a lot longer then the federations battle cloak. But not the fedration. Once they initiate thier battle cloak all your targeting ends until they reappear.
its not bad enough that the federation has stonger ships that can turn faster then the klingons, no...they have to have cloaking as well.

It's not battle cloak, it is exactly what you said - the sensor jamming, or in gameplay terms "placate", skill line. Check your ship the next time this happens, you should be able to see the same blue 'starlight' effect on your ship as you would see on an NPC ship when you use these skills against them.
A bit overpowered compared to Klingon battle cloak? That's up for debate and I really have no interest in getting into it. But, it's short-duration, single-target and has a rather hefty recharge compared to the likes of Tachyon Beam and High Yield, so it really doesn't bother me all that much.
Whenever it's used on me, I whack EPS and Evasive Maneuvers and do a 180 away from their last known position. All they ever get out of it is a five-second grace period and a few free phaser bursts that won't accomplish bugger all. *shrug*

go a head. flame a way. i'll not see it.
I dont know about you but Klingon ships are tough. Birds of Prey take damage but its hard to destroy one. Me and this other player kept firing at this one ship... shooting shooting... it took us a bit to destroy the ship. They have good turning and shields I say.
I haven't started a Klingon character yet. Do their science officers get the same skill set as Feds or are the BO skill lines different?
If they are the same I'd just acquire some of those skills and shove them back in their faces. On Fed side one of my BOs has Science team which can remove sensor debuffs.
TBH I'm fairly sure I saw a Fed ship disappear a couple of times when I was messing around with my Klingon in PvP the other day...
As everyone else has said, that's what Jam Sensors looks like on the receiving end. The enemy ship just disappears from your screen and you get the sparkly blue effect around your ship.

They get access to all the same abilities. I'd just guess that most people don't know enough about the game to go to the skill trainer and swap out their starting BO abilities when they first make a Klingon.
