Could an interface be made that helps you find where a system is? It could be in tabular form off of the maps tab, and say something like:
Sol System -> Sirius Sector Block, Sirius Sector
A search feature for that would be great. Might actually cut down on "where's Memory Alpha" queries.
The maps that currently exist are fine for that sector block, or the bigger map gives you the other sector blocks and their sectors, but nothing connects the two. Possibly make the blocks in the larger map click to that sector block's map.
Anything along that line will help. I spent quite a while searching for a system, only to find out it was in the Delta Voloris (sp?) sector block!
