Long shot but...any old Asheron's Call players around?

Just want to see if anyone out there played or remembers this game? I've been playing continuously since 2002 (played when it first came out so I was 12 and fickle) on the Thistledown server as Ruhelos Seele.

The game is still great. If you're not concerned about graphics (I've actually found the textures more visually appealing than some modern games), they do some pretty awesome stuff with that game that you certainly won't see anywhere else....massive skill system, level 275 cap, a mostly all-loot dynamic instead of quest armor, etc etc. Plus, since the 10th anniversary came out, every account was upgraded to the newest expansion and a new weapon skill as added, and a quest journal....and a hub for new players....

Speaking of hub, I think TD is the only server that still calls it that :) Everyone else calls it SUB! Boo.

Anyway, just want to see if anyone is still lurking around the internets. Been a long time since I've run into a fellow player outside of our established community....

    Yes, I played. Forgot my characters name (lol) but I ran a Guild called The Rose of the Prophecy. Swung on Darktide for a while near the end *pewpewing* low level people lol

    lol, I hate that. I tried DT a couple of times and just got camped by big mean people :( And it's not exactly like I can use my feminine charms on them because they kill me too fast! PvP just isn't my thing.

    I have almost 3 months of in-game time now o_o Still play almost every day. Crazy how you never really leave your first love....

    Someone gave me the box as a gift but several issues prevented me from installing it:
    1.) Per-minute dial-up (still lived with the folks)
    2.) No job to pay for the dial-up (if I did exceed minutes)
    3.) Clunker of a PC that couldn't run the game.

    So...given that, do I count as an old player? :p *looks at the box gathering dust in the corner*

    I'm actually ashamed to admit I left it for fishing in Kunark lol (EQ). Some of my best online moments were in Asheron's Call, but now a MMORPG I've waited 10 years for, STO has come out and I'm already making new "online moments"

    Yeah, my time on Darktide was fun but I was mean - I had my own Guild on one of the other "careebear" servers, but once on Darktide I joined some group that was totally evil. We camped, killed, basically were evil.

    lol I felt bad..kinda but I still took out level 1's and had a great time :P

    I played AC for about a year. I think I was on Thistledown and Darktide. It's been so long though.

    I beta'd AC2, but it just wasn't the same.

    And yes...I also spent many a day fishing in EQ. lol

    I tried AC once, never really got into it, probably because I tried it after AC2 - but I was killing dragons along with AC Legend teammates in AC2, I loved that game, and the dragons were awesome. Wonder how the gang are now.

    I played from early release. I only really remember two players from my Guild; Binen and Skycloud. I don't remember the server or the name of the guild any more! Or even my own player names hah.

    I was a closed beta tester for Asheron's Call, and played for several years on Frostfell. I actually about a year ago started playing again but quit after only about three months.. :/

    Former Acer as well played on Harvestgain, Solclaim and wintersebb until 2003-4. Came back for a little bit last year but missed the crowds...

    Played on wintersebb for a short time, probably around 2001. I enjoyed AC2 though, much fun was had there.
