Cryptic! Here's an idea on how to remove the SHIELD CIRCLE without code changes.

Unless the shield circle is created in an odd way, I'm assuming it's a mesh with a transparency texture applied to it. So just make a new transparency texture to make the circle invisible. It'll still be there, just invisible, so no massive code changes are needed. All that would need to be coded is a switch that loads the new transparency texture instead of the old one.

Hope that helps!

Yeah, the OP doesn't seem to understand the concept of the circle. The circle isn't the shield itself, but rather a representation of the shield. If they didn't want the shield circle to appear, they could simply remove it entirely instead of making it transparent...

...but alas, the OP probably knows this and is just being a troll.

    Bizarre.

The shield UI elements are supposed to be there. Nobody wants them removed.

Well i like taking cool screen shots of my adventures. I do this for every game i play. I like to turn all the game mechanics off for this to give a more natural picture.

Turning the junk off is a great feature and generates free advertising when people start putting thier own movies together on youtube.
