I have been playing STO since the first day of open beta. I do know it has some glitches and some are not happy with those. However, I think the amount of detail that went into making this game deserves a lot of credit. This was a huge project - but the missions are fun, the guests like Leonard Nimoy are awesome and the episodes are clever. I just completed one today called Past Imperfect - I really appreciate the level of work that went into making that episode and all of them.
You find that many of the nay sayers here have a very very short memory and expectations way to high for a game start; I remember que back in Everquest; my word; that was unbearable; remmber the screen blacking out when you mediated to bet more power; falling through the world walking around in Warcraft; I could go on for hours and hours and I have played MMO's from the beginning; lots and lots of games. Regardless of all the perps who nay say this or that; and sure; I have my own issues with some things; really; the game is playable and I am having fun and have yet to fall through a random black hole and die. There is always a learning curve with other game; some have made me yell and scream and comtemplate murder; have to say; this game is fairly smooth even though I have no idea what I am doing yet. So I must say; thinking of all the bugs and problems in so very many games; I think many peeps are overly harsh and lack perspective. Really truly; I could talk for thousands of words of game after game of serious issues; none of which either current cryptic game has problems with so it seems to be mostly just people and their egos and not many polilte suggestions back up by reasons to make a change.
