Cruiser Tank question

I got other stats and gears down but im stuck on deflector of what i can tell i dont really need one, but idk if theres special stat that can help a cruiser. my science has engineering polarize hull I and science team II (to help counter viral matrix). Any suggestions would be great =)

    1. Bring up your powers window while in space ('p').
    2. Find Polarize Hull and/or Science Team.
    3. Click on one of those two.
    4. Read what skills impact them.
    5. ???
    6. Profit.

    Personally, I like things that boost Polarize Hull. But then, I don't use Science Team, I use 2x Engineering Team instead.

    I started an Engineer captain, since they get Rotate Shield Frequency. On top of that for T2, Emergency Power to Sheilds and Engineering Team I. I think that combo should work nicely...

    polarize hull is hazard system which idk which stat that is in menu i guess inertia? other is crew neither goes off of sensor deflectors etc.

    oh hazard is boosted with science console like +10 etc and i think crew recovery is engineering but im using reduce dmg on mine till tier 3 for another slot.

    Find the power in the power's window. It'll list which skills boost the power.

    ive looked and looked theres nothing listed "hazard" anything i even equiped and unequiped it to see if any stat changes, none did

    I've been wondering this exact same question too. Like you, from what I can tell, we don't really have much use for it (at last not yet). Its possible down the road it may make more sense? But as of now I am pretty much neglecting it.

    Any insight from any other Tankers would be greatly aprreciated. Thanks!

    deflector governs the amount of shields healed by science team.

    You need to look inside the power window, not the hotkey bars or the skills page. 'P' will bring it up. You'll want to do it in space to see the space powers. For the power to be listed, you have an officer with the power at a console that lets him use it.

    Polarize Hull, for example, lists Starship Emitters, Starship Hazard Systems, and Starship Operations Training as "Attributes that modify the magnitude."

    that im not sure on im waiting for feb 2 to get my enterprise ship so im rollin on science officer in meantime to get items etc to send over idk what stats rotate shield freg brace for impact needs etc
