I have seen science ships, NPCs, shooting what seems like blue bolts that go straight through shields. What kind of weapons are they and do we get them later on? :)

Sounds like a tachyon beam. It's a science bridge officer skill that significantly weakens shields.

No, I know that one. These are blue single shot bolts that go straight through your shields and damage your ship directly.

    Ah those. It's Feedback pulse.
Can find it here just scroll down a bit.

Basically... It sends back the damage you are doing. :)

I've also seen this effect with the science officer's Jam Sensor skill.

That would make sense, except I wasn't firing at the time. They hit me with those blue bolts and it did damage to me before I opened up :)

try searching the forums using the search functions. If you do so you learn that some players are able to shoot yellow phasers, pink disruptor bolts and so on. I even heard if you shoot a purple beam, a green phaser bank, a blue turret and a yello heavy cannon you can unlock the sith race:rolleyes:

It could also just be someone using the hue power command. The engine is the same core engine as champions online so one might try some of the / commands for power color setting.

Might be a tetryon weapon. I'm pretty sure those have a blue coloring. You start getting them for yourself around Commander rank. Tetryon weapons have a side proc that cuts through shields too so that jives with your description.

Unless they disable /powerhue command these color code will only be usefull for npc weapons.

Personally I hope they leave it it. I like having all light blue weapons.

Yah, I think it's going to come down to the /powerhue command as well for the OP's Question.

I saw in CB and OB. Its the Tractor Beam ability that pushes ships away "Tractor Beam Repulsors". Has a chance to hit all ships that are within range when activated. Does ZERO damaged, just moves ships away.

I think there's some misunderstanding going on, these are not regular cannon shots and they are from NPCs (so far). They are rather big, teardrop shaped blue bolts streaming towards me and other ships that cuts right through the shields and damage the hull directly. And so far I have only seen NPC Science ships fire them.

Did they have rings around the bolts?
Because if they did then it is to 100% Feedback pulse. If not... Chat goes into hiding under a rock. :)
