Note: Apologies if this has been asked before, I did a quick google and search on these forums and wasn't able to find a thread, which was rather surprising, as I'd think people would be rather interested in this.
Of course, chances are, that means the answer to my question is already a "no", however, here it is
Does STO currently have, or does it plan to have, an open source UI? As in, will we be able to make mods/addons for the game, or are only going to be using what is given?
I help fix and maintain addons on WoW, so I'd love to know if we'll be able to have this sort of customization here or not.

Everyone wants it.
Players could already have several better UIs available.
The first one I would like is an inventory mod.
I would love to see a real Klingon interface too instead of the original (bad) one simply colored red.
But my feeling is that they then cant hype the stuff that they didnt have complete when they finally release it. They often use patches as PR fixes. Then there is the issue of their C-Store. Open souce could cut into their micro transactions.
