Borg Nanites - Working?

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
The Borg nanites power reads:

Borg Nanites: +10% Health Regeneration
Description: Ground Trait. Constantly regenerates shields and health.

But when I was trying one out, only my shields continuously regenerated. My health seemed to stay the same for a bit, then come back slowly over time - the way it works for non Liberated Borg characters.

Am I just completely wrong? Do Borg nanites not regenerate health while you're in combat?

You know, I honestly didn't see any improvement in regeneration.

Funnily, 0 health recover in combat + 10% is still 0
I believe this is how the trait is set up.
Everyone thinks its like the trolls in WoW that always reg 10% of their out of combat hp reg.

If that's the case then they should change the text, because then it really isn't constant.

To me, it appears that my Borg's shields regenerate in combat, but health does not. Furthermore, the trait does read "constantly."

Everyone's shields regenerate in combat, though. I've noticed that it seems no different than any other character I've played. It still takes X amount of seconds without being shot to regenerate and 10% is really hard to determine. I may try to test this later.

It definately isn't regenerating health in combat.

Never seen my Health regenerate during combat, and not sure shields have either. I've only seen shields regenerate as they do normally, when you aren't taking damage for 3 seconds.

I haven't noticed any difference myself. Shields regenerate at normal levels and health does not regenerate at all until post battle like normal. Of course, this is in comparison to the NPCs and the Trill that I played with in Beta.

I can confirm that there seems to be no difference between a borg and another char in terms of health/shield regeneration. :-/

I noticed that the trait said 0.1% regen on character creation and not the 10% regen as listed in the Exclusives FAQ.

    That's definitely a bug

It said ".1", which I think translates to 10%, in the same way the Accuracy trait is labelled .1.

I bugged it, but anyone else having this problem should, too.

On a side note, I made mine look as human as possible and just made use of it's abilities.

    Did anyone else do this?

With the Amazon BOFF (lol that sounds like a skimpy clad warrior maiden character), is it 1 character per player per character, or just per player?

I'm having trouble deciding which ship I'm going to put her/him on. I've left a slot open on my tier 2 ship... which could be limping along for a bit without them.

Do we also know what career they specialise in... or are they just typically adaptable borg than can be used all over the shop?

I did not give mine any implants since I was expecting implants similar to 7 of 9's implants and not as grotesque as the ones that are available now.

You can tell mine was still a Borg because he has the pale skin and the larger veins. I was hoping to make it look more human with a more cosmetically appealing implant but oh well.

Sweet, that's awesome guys. Now on topic: is your character's regeneration working appropriately?

I'm not noticing any difference either in combat or out of combat health/shield regeneration between libertated borg and other species (human and vulcan so far).

Having fought some in ground pvp (borgyklinks!) I didn't notice their health regenerate in combat whatsoever. Not sure on the shields.

I concur. Additionally the other Borg power seems quite useless at this point. :(

Well, you're right. It's a bit confusing that they write +0.1 on some things and +10% on others.

Same goes for the borg space traits. Is says +5, but if they mean +5% it's a total different result.

I haven't looked at the ground combat health regen, but I will now.

On a related note, my Borg character's Efficient trait doesn't seem to be working, either. Supposed to have +5% to Shield, Engine, Energy Weapon, and Auxillary System efficiencies. But all of them show 0 in my character sheet. And yes, I have bugged it in game.

Having spent a day peering at my shield and HP bar really closely, I can definitely confirm that the 10 percent regeneration doesn't seem to be working.

Which is a shame, since the regeneration is pretty much the only real reason to roll a Liberated Borg outside of the cool and unique look given the bad selection of traits they have available.

Same here, not seeing it happening.

And I made mine completely human, so I'm not evening getting that. I mean, its still a prestige thing, and its still nice - but come on.
