Are explore missions always....

Are the explore/random missions always filled with 0 enemies?(same level as you)

0 enemies are painfully boring to fight against. Is there some point where I can do explore missions against things higher level then me?

Is there a point in the game when things my level offer enough challenge to require more then: Target - AutoFire - Watch T.V.??

As it stands now, i'm done with these. I love the random content, but just gets boring. I'll try it again at the next tier but this really needs a difficulty setting or something.

Let me do explore missions filled with enemies that are +2,+3,+4, or even +5!!

I seriously doubt single enemies that are 0 to me will ever be fun based on what i've seen so far. hopefully i'm wrong, or hopefully we can get some option to have more challenge with these.

    i agree with you on this. i'm only lvl 7, but it does seem like it is on easy mode. i just keep lvling up to see if there is more of a challenge out there, meanwhile cramping my thumb on the spacebar. :P

    They are always +0.

    That said, the enemies do get tougher as you level up. They just start out very gimp in the low levels.

    Feel free to /bug that sort of thing, providing details of just how easy it was. Details like auto-fire on, afk for the win, vs enemy group's ship type, and your level, for example. Just do keep in mind they want the first 10 or so levels to be real easy.

    but

    normaly in mmo's, if i find the content to be too easy(i always do) i can always just grind on higher level mobs, do dungeons before i'm level appropiate, ect.

    I've never seen an mmo(except Original EQ) that had their content setup such, that even level solo mobs where any challenge at all, even at end game for me. But, i could get around that by doing content above my level.

    I LOVE the random missions, just the love the not knowing whats coming, and mystery! But, unless this mmo has the hardest solo level appropiate content ever, i'm going to miss out one of my favorite parts of this game.

    I need a way to adjust the challenge, like all mmo's give me. This whole thing of only being able to do equal level mobs(and not many of them either) will make this aspect of the game untouched by me. But I was hping to spend most of my PVE time doing them. :(

    There should be some variety... maybe throw in a +5 battleship every now and then to spice things up.

    Well, hopefully they give us a difficulty slider that goes from Hello Kitty Island Adventure to Khaaannnn! at some point.

    But for now, even con is what we have.

    Well they do get harder after lt.com but not much , they could easy make them +4 or +5 -.- i got +3 constantly and they just pop fast.

    you can ask for grouping before going into a mission, then leaving the group. personally i found 4 member teams provide a nice difficulty increase on same level enemies.

    I played open Beta to Commander 8 (thats lvl 28)

    and yes... explore-missions-enemys spawns always the same lvl. as you.

    Yeah.. the got 1 or 2 tricks at those lvls (romulan battleship have Viral Matrix 3, wich shut down your ship for... 10 sec.?! )

    But still then, those "nolvldifference" battleships where no danger for my cruiser... i too had a few tricks up the sleeve which EASY counter there meager tricks...

    If those Battleships would have been +3 or +4 lvl to me... it would "maybe" become an interesting fight...
    but at same lvl i easly sit out the "Viral Matrix" and still won the fight with 99% Hull and 95% shields

    Yep, devs probably are very worried with the difficulty of the exploration missions, right now... :D

    Well, probably not right now :D
    Still, the more we ask, the more we will get eventually. I'd like a difficulty settings option too, as they did in their previous games (COX and now Champions Online).

    Why don't you try being in a group when you enter these instances?

    The game tends to spawn the mission based on group size. Try dong that and see if it will generate challenging content for you.

    The person you are grouped with doesn't have to enter the instance and it will still be generated for a larger group.

    I am not saying that isn't a lot of work but maybe you can find someone like yourself and you both can stay grouped while you each solo different missions.

    they took a bunch of those mission out i do those for the badges to outfit my ship and have found myself doing the same ones over and over. there were some hard ones that gave nice loot especially ground fighting-- i like them because they are more of a solo and there is no cheats taking all the loot for themselfs

    Bump,
    I was hoping that I could at least travel into a few sectors where federation was not as present and find some bigger baddies to test my skills against.

    Sorry to tell you, but devs ignore threads that ask for more fun, I mean, more difficulty, even if they are 10 pages long. But hey, if you make a thread with a single post saying something is hard, 5 devs will post saying they'll be working on it.
