Heavy Phaser Cannons

Do they exist and if they do where can I buy them?? I already looked at K-7 which sells regular only.

    I looted one today, has a 45º arc and around 250 damage (180 dps) if I remember right, they can only fire from "front" side they can't be placed in Aft.

    They look like klingons spit green laser cannons, except in red that is all.

    Thanks, I figured they were kinda like the Heavy Disruptor Cannon but orange. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to not be able to find a place to buy these and Quantum torpedos at the MK II level. I had the same problem in beta. The worst part is I keep getting disruptor loot which I really don't want.

    My klingon BOP tier 2 is running a phaser heavy cannon.

    I know you wanted to know where to buy one, I just thought I'd make you feel bad.

    Check the exchange...I've seen quite a bit of both of those on there.

    I looted one while running Starbase 24.

    Unfortantaely, I was happier with my dual disruptor cannons.

    but is there a reason why I can´t simply get one from the PvP Vendor? Puts people who want to use phasers on their fed ships (as it is supposed to be) on a serious disadvantage.

    And on another note: Why do I specialize in cannons or beams before I put points into the more general skills like disruptors/phasers? Aren´t these two skill groups just "upside down" ? shouldn´t it be disruptors/phasers before I specialise in cannons or beams? At least that´s the way the torpedo/mine skills are set up.

    Cannons and Beams are the more general skills. Those are overall categories of weapon.

    Disruptors and phasers are specific damage types; they are not the only ones in the game. If you look past disruptors and phasers, you'll see stuff like plasma, polaron, etc.

    There are plasma beam arrays, plasma cannons, and so on.

    The torpedoes/mines are set up in the same way. You choose torpedoes or mines, before choosing what kind of torpedo - photon, quantum, chroniton, etc.
