Anomalies

Is there any item or skill that enables you to pinpoint the area on the map where the anomalies are coming from. I know you can scan from the map when you enter an area, but that doesn't give you the location, it just tells you how many there are in the system you're in.

Anyone know?

Thanks!

Sometime within the past couple days they did add a blue beam effect to the scanner that points to both anomalies and mission objectives. Either that or it was because I turned up my player detail settings....I'm not really sure which.

This was added in at the end of beta. When you scan, the blue line will point in the direction of the nearest one.

Yeah, either the icon on the minimap, or bind scanning to a hotkey. The blue line is part of the "scanning" blue graphics that surround your ship. It will show up right at the end of the scan, a blue line darting off into the exact direction of the anomaly.

It appears that the default hotkey for this is 'V'.
