Credits for Ships and Ships Parts

How Do you earn credits to buy ships or shipd parts ?

The only way I found so far is from selling space junk you pick up when you destroy a ship.
I have completed many missions and never gotten any credit rewards.

    i believe the sole way is by selling stuff. (You can do this via the replicator in your inventory)

    that, and to sell things on the exchange (STO's version of the auction house)

    You get credits for PVP as well as selling loot (vendor, replicator, merchants in sector space, exchage). Some missions also earn you credits. So far it seems that engines are by FAR the most lucrative items in the same tier if you are selling to npcs with MK I and MKII whites listed at 5k (2k vendor income).

    Note that the replicator gives you roughtly 30% of the value of the item, station NPC's (Non-black market vendors) give you roughly 50%. Black Market vendors or farengi somehow end up owning you after the sale...

    yup, clicking that button will bring up a shop like interface, you can buy basic stuff or sell your junk. you can also drag stuff from your inventory onto the button to sell without clicking
