What are your system specs particularly your video card. I just bought a 5870 a few weeks ago and on ground combat if I run max graphics the game is very stuttery and often will force a crash. A friend also has a 5850 and has similar issues, and Ive read of people with 4000 series ATI cards having issues aswell.

Ah, 5870 here. Antialiasing wasn't available for 5870 for much of open beta. I did the STO command line /maxfps 30 because I've heard by default the game pushes for the highest frame rate the card can deliver and that might be gough on vid cards. May have to lower grafix groundside. Rats. Rats and TRIBBLE.

    My specs:

    • Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor
    • ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

    • GeIL 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10660)
    • Western Digital Caviar Black WD5001AALS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
    • LG-8x Internal Blu-ray Disc/Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive

ATI HD 4800 (latest drivers) had some crashes there too, but also on other crowded ground combat areas. :/

Hmm. 'Tis an unhappy ATI trend I'm sensing. Verily, boo.

Lets try and keep this in one thread - http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=61837

Hopefully the devs will respond. Kind of annoying since it has been happening since closed beta!
