Will head start characters be wiped upon Feb 2 release?

    No.. The whole reason for the head start is just that.. A head start before game officially launches.. You keep everything.

    If that were the case I think 'set-back' rather than 'head-start 'would be a more appropriate name for it ...

    Nah, it's a headstart - So you'll get a headstart to all of those who start on the 2nd Feb.

    The entire game will be like Groundhog Day :) every few days it gets wiped and we get to do the same missions all over again :P

    That'd be terrible...

    of course they will be deleted

    in fact headstart actually refers to that,
    that all characters that are created while it runs get their heads cut off at the end :eek:

    I know a guy who works for SOE who knows a guy who works for Bioware. This married the daughter of a guy who works for Cryptic, who knows the same guy from SOE. The guy from SOE says he said they are wiping everything on the 2nd to give hope to all those who play SWG. THe guy from Bioware who knows a guy whom delivers George Lucas's mail said that George just a letter delivered stating that the end of SWG is nigh upon him. And that cats and dogs are making hot steamy monkey love while abusing their tribbles. Anyhow the tribble said yeah, they are doing a wipe at 23:00 zulu on 01FEB10.

    Okay, we get it that the characters will not be wiped on the 2nd Feb.
    I have pre-ordered the Joined Trill. This means I will have to re-create my character on the 2nd Feb.
    The question I have though is this...
    Is the a way I can keep all of my inventory, money / energy, and un-spent skill points

    why of course there is a way? maybe its not quite legal and involves hacking cryptics servers but you did ask? and so i have given you the required information.

    Well if that is going to be your attitude to someone who has just started playing this game, wishing to learn from people who have already been playing, I really can not see why you are here, I hope everyone is not this rude.
