Joystick/pad not detected in game?

Hi guys,

I have a basic old joypad bought from Game (UK store) and was hoping to use it to play STO. I've tried to map keys, etc., however the game doesn't respond - it doesn't detect the key-presses when trying to map them.

The device is set up and visible as a joystick on my system (Windows 7).

Is there something obvious I am missing?

    Please for the love of the game we need joy stick support this was a huge thread in beta and not fixed
