Corrupt Cursor

I had issue in beta with Currupt Cursor, I reinstalled last night and no sooner did i get to log in screen did i see at the bottom of my page Corrupt Cursor,

Has anyone else had this and if so did they find a way to fix it?

In game the cursor changes to items from my inventory , sometimes just disappears, also when moving the cursor from inventory to place items on my ship it disapears or dispays wrong item when moving from ship to inventory or vise versa.

If i alt tab from game I loose my cursor altogether.

Anyhelp would be great.

Still enjoy the game ty Cryptic fun game.

    My only major experience with the mouse was on occassion it would "duplicate" itself. At first I attributed it to lag, but even with a good framerate it wouldn't go away unless I relogged

    Yup - the cursor is flat-out buggy - was in OB too.

    I had the double pointer for the first time today as well. Did not see it in beta.

    This doesn't fix the issue, but i can save you having to relog if it happens. At the bottom of the "video" options section you will see a button called "troubleshoot" if you click that you get a handful of other video options, one of them is to use software cursor or not, if you switch this setting and then switch back it should fix your cursor, for a while.

    I have the same problem was comming to the forums to ask about it also.


    I get when I start the game

    Cursor corrupt .. fixing sometimes things work while I play and sometimes they do not. If I alt tab I loose the cursor picture. I can still move it around and if I move it around enough I can get it to highlight things so I can exit but once that happens there is nothing I can do bring it back other than restarting.

    Yesturday was the first day I got the dual cursor 2 images inverted from each other.


    If cryptic has an answer I would really like this fixed.

    This also happened in OB


    I have updated my drivers I have changed the video settings from max to low and back again nothing seems to work.

    Thanks all for posting. I also have the buggy cursor problem, I hope that you all have made trouble shooting tickets within the game to help this problem get fixed. I can only imagine the amount of posts that must be coming in with the game going online.

    We must do our part to post bug reports and make tickets every-time to force resolution and allow the programmers to see a picture of how wide spread the issue is. In my day job I'm a technologist and I can only say that any system as complex as this game takes a huge amount of dedicated talent working full out on issues, however, to get some issues hightlighted over others means we must focus the talent of the programmers and decision makers to make time for the fix.

    To make this happen fill out ticket reports. It works.

    I'm enjoying this game a lot and hope we all get our fixes and most importantly many hours of quality game time.
