It's finally the day.

I am stunned -- stunned -- at how much I've wanted this day to come.

I don't know why, but long ago I went entirely psychotic for this game and after months of speculation, followed by closed and open beta, it's here. It's here. It's time and we can play.

Well, in thirty-five minutes.

Regardless... as of this moment, I know two things.

1) This is a great game and I'm excited to be part of it.

2) After all these months... we are not beta testers and we are not doing a job. We're not trying to find the problems so on day one the game is bug-ridden. It is day one...

...and these people work for us now.

Yeah, we're gonna need some coffee, guys. And honestly, let's see some ties on you.

I can only imagine the thousands of grown adults sat at their PC's waiting to get in, like myself :D

    Better than Christmas IMO!

I was thinking the same thing myself, the wife thinks I'm nuts but she knew that when she married me (it's 3am local time so she went back to bed).

Been a LONG time since I was up for a launch.

    5-6 hours?

I took today and next week off of work.

My wife is amused to no end that our vacation's taking us to Risa, this year. :)

I no longer do any Bug Hunting work for Cryptic. I may resume if a serious attempt to fix the game is made.

    It's kind of sad, this.

Whoever they were, they wanted to love this game. They waited, and this is the moment of their triumph, captured in anonymity by Archived Post.

I wonder if any of them remain.

It's like wandering in Pompeii, everything is like when they died, all those years back. It's a window to the past or something. It's both amazing, and very creepy.

and the most interesting things are the graffiti like "so and so is a *****" or "such and such ripped me off, TRIBBLE that guy"

Calling it Necro is such a nasty when they prefer the term " Playing with the dead. ".

Well lets call it by it's official title of Necrophilia then. :P

Tsk. For shame, I opened this up hoping someone had brought it back to do a long, thought provoking and emotional monologue about all that has changed over these long years.
