Greetings, DECA and Star Trek Online Team,
First, I want to thank you for your efforts in continuing to develop and support Star Trek Online, and welcome you to the community. As a dedicated player, I appreciate the upcoming work you face maintaining and keeping the game engaging and true to the Star Trek universe.
I’d like to propose a suggestion regarding costume customization in the game: enabling Omega Force armor pieces, specifically the OMEGA Harvester belt, to be used with default uniforms in the tailor system.
This request stems from my desire for a canon-accurate 2410 appearance. NPC Lieutenant John VanDerveer, seen in the Bug Hunt TFO, wears the OMEGA Striker belt integrated with his standard excursion uniform. This demonstrates definitively that the combination is possible within the game engine.
Interestingly, while researching if it would be possible, I became aware there was previously an exploit that allowed players to unlock tailor options via a command, enabling any costume piece to be worn with any outfit. While the exploit has understandably been patched, it revealed that the system is technically capable of supporting such combinations. Given this, I hope such functionality could be implemented legitimately and intentionally as a feature for players. Perhaps as a Zen purchase, like outfit slots?
Having already unlocked all Omega costume options through the required materials and resources, I would love the ability to pair these pieces with the Odyssey Excursion uniform, similar to Lieutenant VanDerveer’s appearance. This change would offer players greater customization options and enhance immersion for those seeking to recreate specific looks from the game’s lore.
I hope this suggestion can be considered for a future update. Thank you for your time and for continuing to shape Star Trek Online’s future.
Live Long and Prosper,Zurnan
