T7 Ships

I've had an idea for T7 ships to exist within the current game model and I'd like your feedback and thoughts.

Imagine we had the option to upgrade our T6 ships past the experimental upgrades that makes the ship an official T7.
Once a ship has been upgraded to T6-X2 the player then gets the option to upgrade it to T7.

The T7 upgrade should cost between 1000-1500 Zen or a vast amount of Dilithium to help create a Dili sink holes.

The option will give players the following options.

- 1 additional weapon slot (this could be a fore, aft, or even an additional experimental weapon and even if there isn't one already.)
- 2 additional Universal Console slots or device slots (where they can choose 2 Universal, 2 Device or 1 of each.)
- 1 additional Doff slot for active space
- 1 additional bridge ability seating (meaning a player can add 1 to a Lt. Commander station making it a Commander stations or Lieutenant station to make it a Lt. Commander)

This will allow players to create truly customised ships that are uniquely their own.

What your thoughts, do you think it's a good idea?

    Been asked before many times and the answer has always been no. Basically the upgraded T6 are T7. But with that said who knows what DECA have planned.

    The previous discussions I've found are asking for fully customisable ships based on T6 options, where a player can choose exactly how many weapons, devices, consoles and bridge stations and types they want. Meaning 7 slots are available for weapons and the player can customise the layout themselves.

    This option is more of a "add too" the generical build type then a fully customisable ship.

    T7 ships have been asked for as way back as 2014 and multiple times since then so your thread might fall into the FCT rule. @baddmoonrizin is this the case.

    Seems like it would cause more problems that it would solve. I don't like it as your taking away individuality from ships, breaking ship class rules and adding massive power creep.

    The devs are on record as saying, "No T7 ships." If that changes in the future with DECA, we can revisit the topic, but for now... /thread
