A HUD Option to Hide Players & Ships on the Ground and in Space

I would like a HUD Option that hides other players both on the ground and in space. Already we can hide player names and never show our own but... it just doesn't go far enough. This would especially help if we have problems with other players so we can hide and unhide players and their starships whenever we want to.

You could put it in the "Other Players" section in the Ground and Space HUD Options while still keeping players in Teams visible. It would just be nice to be able to not see other players whenever i want to and i would use this option a lot. It's like we see other players in TFOs all the time... so it would be nice to empty the game of other players often times.

Could always go anonymous. You can change this by pressing o and changing it on there, But as far as your questions goes that is all you can do right now.

Yup i use anon on all my characters but that doesn't do what i'm asking it doesn't hide me or other players it just hides your characters from the search. But it can also get too much seeing other players all the time we may just want a nice quiet play, so it would be good if we could do that distraction free of the other players outside of adventure zones and tfos.

Just put other players on ignore, they then can not message you and in turn you can't see their chat, and the players you do want to interact with you refrain from putting them on ignore.

Thanks again but the ignore option simply isn't what i'm asking about.

So you are basically asking for a single player mode with the option to join others players at your discretion. But STO is a MMO, with everyone on the same server coming across players you don't wish to interact with is out of the question. Just choose to ignore them.

Go to your HUD options you can hide a few things including never showing player names. Would just be nice if there was an option in there that never shows the actual characters and ships of other players outside TFOs and Adventure Zones. All the players flying about making lots of noises, i think other players would appreciate that option too because it gets a bit too much.
